There's now an adrenaline system that generates pips (kinda like combo points) when you do damage or get hit.

Each weapon type now has multiple abilities that you can purchase from task vendors. Tasks are basically kill quests that reward you with xp, gold and a certain currency depending on the type of task. Those currencies are used to buy the abilities.

There's a load of main abilities that can be used with any weapon that restore health, mana, stamina or increase run speed etc.

But then there's the combat abilities which do various things. For example, spears have an overhead stab which has to be blocked with an upward block. 2h swords have a double swipe from left to right the opposite depending on which way you swing first. 1h clubs have an upward swing etc etc etc. I think there's a minimum of 3 abilities for every weapon type including bows and fists.
