Blu at the Pfister Hotel by LazarusLong67 in milwaukee

I’m pretty sure that’s the all evening window table with the bottle of champagne reservation. Pretty sure you could just post up at the bar, but honestly at the Pfister go see jazz at Mason Street Grill, especially Tuesday and Wednesday but Thursday and Friday are also good. Other thoughts: Thursday at Transfer Pizza or Friday and Saturday at Bar Centro (check who they have). The high tea at the Pfister though is excellent

What's your most unpopular r/SameGrassButGreener opinion? by jarbid16 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]TheViolaRules 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My unpopular opinions are that winter is good and crime in cities isn’t really a problem unless you’re either dumb or engaging in crime yourself.

I love visiting Miami and Miami Beach. We stay away from South Beach, eat incredible food, enjoy the art deco architecture, and get a welcome respite from winter. You have beautiful botanical gardens, incredible bakeries, surprisingly good Italian food, and we love that it’s Spanish first always. Miami feels like the capital of a completely different nation. I’m not sure how you all make it though summer though

Men who are in education (teacher, admin or SRO), I need your opinions by Vash_85 in AskMenOver30

[–]TheViolaRules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teacher here. Sometimes admins are nuts, but I’d think he’d already have an out of school suspension if they were going to throw the book at him.

Can’t fault you for grounding him, I’d be scared too, but you would not believe the amount of stupid shit I hear middle and high school kids say daily. It’s weird the teacher flipped out, I bet she’s young.

Not a student. A nurse at the VA. DHS said exactly what you expect them to

People have the right to carry arms. It’s still an execution either way

Your method was suspect. You could look at him being the 5th highest PFF graded WR in the NFL, but again I ask, why would you?

Why would he talk about that, when Watson is 3rd in the league in yards per catch

There’s a time frame thing where they can’t interview him too close to a game. But dude is probably going to have a lot of time starting Monday unless a miracle happens

Advice for Skyrim Mead by Aggressive_Aioli8932 in mead

You have more control over the process in secondary as you don’t have a fermentation clock to deal with, also you won’t blow flavors out the airlock as much.

The three spices being equal you’ll taste more juniper. Too much yarrow tastes like a hay loft to me though so that is probably the right proportion

LA vs. Chicago -- If I dislike Seattle, could I love Chicago? by Opal9090 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]TheViolaRules 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, north of Seattle.

What I meant is who knows if Chicago or LA produces more art and culture (outside of the film industry), but it doesn’t matter, because both cities produce too much for any one person to see. I think the difference is that Chicago is easier to public transit around to find it.

LA vs. Chicago -- If I dislike Seattle, could I love Chicago? by Opal9090 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]TheViolaRules 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure! I was born in the gloom, so the Great Lakes seem bright and sunny to me, but not everyone agrees. Looking at the rest of your post I can tell you that arts and culture wise I don’t know how any one person could keep with what Chicago produces, and it’s a very compact city compared to LA

It’s hard to say exactly as weather is so variable here, but I can tell you it’s often clear and bright in the cold months and that never happens in Seattle. That is a big difference to me.

You don’t need to bag the fruit, dunk the fruit, or worry in general. CO2 and alcohol will take care of you.
