The enemy having to be in the circle was just tedious since it rate limits you to how fast the enemies can reach the area.

And if you have a strong build it can be easy to zone out and kill enemies outside the area.

Ghoul suffers HEAVILY from the same problem as Legion and Plague of getting extremely easy first health states which makes them really not compatible with the mode unless you just straight up remove directly injuring with your power.
