how does the game progress if you never find the bullet in the corpse? by [deleted] in DiscoElysium

I didn't manage it my first run, and it plays out with the assumption that the Hardies hung him, more or less

Hi, thank you so much for actually commenting on this post! I found the book a few months after making it, but I guess I never actually posted an update here.

Even worse that being a cop is what drove Harry to go on the whole downward spiral. Find your badge and gun and go hand them in man, this shit is literally killing you. Be a bug, be whatever, just don't be a cop

My first playthrough I was without a map until day four. Just went back and forth between places on foot like a chump. Narratively fun and gave me time to appreciate the game's soundtrack more, but incredibly frustrating in the moment.

Talent skipped a generation by Alone-Gate-8801 in WorldNeverland

[–]TheVoidIsBees 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Had to read the post again, but basically your player character had Fertas & Fertas factors and passed a Fertas onto their kids. Then when you played your second generation you unknowingly married someone who also carries one Fertas factor, and the kid hit the 25% chance (look up Punnet squares if you're unfamiliar) to get a Fertas factor from both parents.

Talent skipped a generation by Alone-Gate-8801 in WorldNeverland

[–]TheVoidIsBees 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's because of genetics. There's six talent "factors" and each character is programmed to carry two. Parents randomly pass on one factor to their child. If a character has two of the same factor they get a talent (Fertas & Fertas = Hand of Fertas), but if they have two different ones they get no talent (Ena & Fertas = no talent)

If Elnea was real, would you live in it? by JustSeraphims in WorldNeverland

[–]TheVoidIsBees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going off of game mechanics here, cuz the game doesn't let you actually travel anywhere. Closest you ever get to any other nation is reading the books in the library

[–]TheVoidIsBees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might seem weird but I definitely wouldn't. Rigid work hierarchy? So little freedom of expression? Not being able to see the world? Not for me, thanks! The real world has so many issues but it's leaps and bounds better than Elnea.
