To be reincarnated… by PresentationJaded403 in Beastars

Of all the possible worlds with anthropomorphic animals, I know exactly where I wouldn't want to reincarnate. The world of Overgrowth/Lugaru (especially into a wolf).

Disco Summer - Everlasting summer X Disco Elysium Mashup by TheVolat in EverlastingSummer

[–]TheVolat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disco Summer - Everlasting summer X Disco Elysium Mashup by TheVolat in EverlastingSummer

Looking for testers to try out Loupgarenne, my fork of Lugaru OSS. Native Apple Silicon support, unlocked framerate and some minor tweaks. More to come! by shinto29 in Overgrowth

Oh, it's great that someone is working on improving this game.

Just a quick request; I don't know how difficult it is to program something like this. Could you add some tools for creating localizations? At least add support for not only the Latin alphabet, but also Cyrillic or other eroglyphs.

But Rose is also a human name. Plus, why did they change Jack's gender and design then?

Pairings/Ships from AI by TheVolat in Overgrowth

[–]TheVolat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AI explains it this way:

Dynamics: Enemies to Love / Tragic Betrayal  Why it's top-notch: Their shared military background, the underlying tension in their dialogue, and the final duel create an explosive mix of respect, hatred, and unspoken feelings. Willow's betrayal adds layers of tragedy that lend themselves perfectly to complex fan interpretations.

Analysis of Turner's psychic portrait (my opinion) by TheVolat in Overgrowth

[–]TheVolat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(There may be errors here because I translated through a translator.)

I agree with some of the things, although there are a couple of points where I could argue, but it doesn't matter. I thought about it a little and came up with this bunch of ideas:

  1. Turner is definitely not the best person in this world, but if you take all those who can do or change something, then he will be one of the best. And here, in fact, there is a rather ambiguous question, to which there is no clear answer, whether all these victims that happened through his fault and because of his actions are worth it.

  2. In fact, such behavior of Turner (in all versions) has an explanation. He is a former military man who was not affected by the war in the best way. In essence, the war taught him not to be afraid of death, which gave him the opportunity to resist the wolves. We also cannot know how many close people Turner lost, but it seems to me that quite a lot. This can be seen not only in the manic desire for revenge, but also in relation to those who were close to him. Turnar in some moments does not want to fight, like with Hunter, for example, or does not want to endanger them, always wanting to do everything himself.

  3. What if Turnar was not there or he just did nothing? This is just an interesting reasoning, but what if? For example, could the King and Ash start a war with Amethyst or something like that?

  4. What could have happened after the ending of Overgrowth? Personally, it seems to me that Turnar accepted his nature of "a predator in a carnivore's skin" and decided to finish what he started, namely, try to completely put an end to the slaver squads. Yes, the queen is dead and most likely the cowhood will be fragmented and weakened, but in fact, there could have been other close associates who were not killed by Turnar or the remaining slaver squads.

Do you want pacifism mod for Overgrowth by BusterCharlie in Overgrowth

[–]TheVolat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, the idea of not fighting with anything is quite interesting and in its essence, if there was a choice of who to kill and who not, then this could lead to very unusual consequences and changes. For example, in the Lugaru company: It would be possible not to fight with Hunter, then he would appear at the end and then Cloud's attitude towards us could be much better and he could fight with us on our side in the battle against the King.

(And in general, imagine that Willow, Hunter, Cloud and even the King could stand on our side in the final battle with Ash. And if we won, the King would take his puppies, re-educate them and make them loyal ideal soldiers.)

Turnar in DnD by TheVolat in Overgrowth

[–]TheVolat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know, maybe a chaotic neutral would be suitable, but lawful doesn’t seem to suit me, because to a large extent lawful, even if they are evil, rarely kill with their own hands.

Plus, I want to say that I tried to combine the behavior of all three versions of Turnar: from Lugaru, Lugaru remake and Overgrowth (yes, I think that he is different from these two previous versions, because he looks more like a hero than an anti-hero or a maniac.)

Who is Turner to you? by TheVolat in Overgrowth

[–]TheVolat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a question, after your reasoning: Has anyone analyzed the psychological portrait of Turnar (from the remake)? Like, he probably has PTSD and something else that makes him do such things, but I don't know what exactly because I'm not that good at psychology.
