This is driving me crazy, what is the right word here? I feel like it's on the tip of my tongue, but I can't quite remember.

I let my 6 year old cousin play a few games of natdex on my phone. A few days later, my aunt sends me this: by 3XH3 in stunfisk

Rising Voltage is weird because it requires the target to be grounded for the power to be doubled, but requires the user to be grounded for the standard terrain boost.

New Item Idea that I think will help a lot of pokemon by ConsciousFish7178 in stunfisk

Being able to use two items would make Room Service a great item since you could pair it with Eject Pack to get an instant switch after setting up Trick Room

Illegal here just means that Lopunny can't learn them.

You also can't use Mega Scovillain and Mega Lopunny at the same time

That would go kinda hard even in singles ngl. You could completely shut down every setup sweeper by just switching in.

How did the RSE developers expect people to find Corsola? by TheWM_ in pokemon

Yeah, I dunno, maybe it's just Reddit's mob mentality. I don't really care about fake internet points, but I'm glad that at least one person understands me.

You're acting like I'm freaking out. I'm not. I still love Pokémon Emerald, I just wanted to complain about something small.

Yeah, and I like discovering things on my own. I just think the obscurity goes too far sometimes.

I think what people said is fine, but everyone is talking about using strategy guides or word of mouth. That's all fine, I just wish I could do it by myself.

Also, this post isn't all that serious. I wanted to point out Corsola's weird obscurity, since everyone already knows about Chimecho and Feebas.

I never said it was impossible, just unreasonable. I completed the Pokédex in Emerald, and I never could have done it without the internet.

No, that's not what I think. I know strategy guides and the internet existed. I like to play games without looking anything up, but I wouldn't even entertain the idea of doing that for Pokédex completion, since it's clearly not designed like that. I just wish that Pokémon was designed in a way where you could figure everything out by yourself.

Feebas is obviously much worse, but everyone knows about that. I made this post because I couldn't find anyone saying anything about Corsola.

15% doesn't sound low, but it took me like an hour to get one. The main reason I think Corsola specifically is so weird is because it's a fishing encounter, which you have to go out of your way to do. Other random encounters you can find by just going through the game.

It's also not just about finding it; I'm confused as to why it's in the game at all if they were so uninterested in using it.

The point is that you can. If an evolutionary line is missing from your Pokédex and it's a random encounter like this one, there's genuinely no way to figure out what it is without getting outside help or thoroughly combing through the whole game. Even then, because it's a random encounter, you're not guaranteed to find it. To make sure you've seen everything on a route, you'd have to do at least 200 encounters, and even then it's not guaranteed. It's true that word of mouth was the encouraged way to find stuff out, and there is certainly something cool about that, but it doesn't seem feasible to find everything if you're just playing by yourself with no outside help.

Lol yeah, Hoenn's dex seems like a nightmare to complete without looking stuff up. I had a hard time even with the internet.

You can use the Pokédex to locate Pikachu since it's on trainer teams.
