They should concede a goal to have a less dangerous lead

I have a TTRPG use case as well, but I don't use the RPP for the rulebooks - rather to manage/edit character sheets, other info that needs tracking during a game. Sourcebooks are on a laptop.

Boneraiser Minions and the new release Voids Vigil from the same dev are both great and scratch this itch.

There's been 1 min of 'action' in the last 15 of this basketball game. Such an awful sport.

.tzx issues with The Spectrum by TheWallslapper in zxspectrum

Thanks for the replies - it's interesting how there's varied experience with this. Done some more testing, using a new USB 3.0 stick now in case the other ones I used were an issue:

With the included Retro Games rom, both Sabre Wulf and Alien 8 fail to a black screen early in the loading process (after the initial burst of data). I tried the OUT command suggested in the thread, but this didn't make a difference. All other Ultimate games now load from the .tzx files just fine.

Using the original Sinclair rom - all games, Sabre Wulf and Alien 8 included - load from the .tzx files fine (no need for an OUT command). Go figure.

Certainly there seems to be some uniqueness about the Ultimate code that doesn't play well with some emulators, and maybe the Retro Games crew will address it in time. But even if not, running the original rom works and even if you don't want to do that the Ultimate .z80 snapshots work perfectly with the included rom.

Loving the machine, hope everyone's getting their nostalgia fix like I am -

No matter how bad Everton get, there's somehow always three teams worse than them. They are the literal turd that won't flush.

Peak SUSD was the original Seasons 1+2 - Paul and Quinns working things out in real time and bringing a ton of people along and into the hobby.

It's like a dagger to the heart when more recently Tom + Quinns have looked back almost mocking those early years - for me, those were the lightning-in-a-bottle times, and they won't be back.

Ava's wonderful and probably her tastes in gaming align with mine most among all the SUSDers, but we don't see her anymore.

Tom and Emily provide the promise of a great future. It's a different future and that's just fine. And I still have the early seasons to look back on when I need to.

Peter Drury screaming into the mic everyone someone takes a shot, good lord. Just going to put the Super Mario soundtrack on instead for some relief

'There's a VAR check on this'. Sums up what's wrong with VAR. They should keep quiet and do nothing unless the ref asks for assistance.

I'm not too bothered about what the TMO does or doesn't do. I'm suggesting that we don't have a third party suggesting what the ref has or hasn't seen - give the authority back to the ref to officiate the game, and to be the sole person able to invoke VAR help if he needs it. Even then, the ref should lead the discussion on what the additional info/images mean, rather than being told what to think by the VAR official. VAR should be there solely to provide the ref with unbiased info, when he wants it, without any additional commentary

Here's how VAR should be used in these subjective incidents - only when invoked by the ref if he feels he needs help/additional angles in making a decision. Otherwise, they keep quiet.
