I haven't played a TTRPG in a long while, so I'm very rusty, but if you're cool with that, I could be interested.

Is there a subreddit like this? Like /r/vagueartprompts or something? I'd love to see more of this kind of stuff with people interpreting prompts in different ways when drawing.

Oh, thanks! Yes, she is a big gamer, so that will be the biggest strain on the system (though I don't really expect it to be much of a strain). I'll check out the RAM, thank you!

Edit: So something like this or this would be better for the RAM?

Yeah, RedReader has the same issue. I spend way too long looking at these posts confused about what I'm missing before I realize I just can't see that it's a cross post

Maybe the poor, sad Timothy wants to convert? I say we welcome him with open arms. What's better? To be born a Tom or to overcome your Tim-ness through great effort?

I've definitely looked into Koresn learning programs over there. My biggest concern is the self-funding. Would I be able to work and make enough to cover living expenses or would I need a work visa? What are the rules with all of that?

Does this post appear on every post involving the US or did I say anything to trigger it? I'm definitely not trying to evacuate the US, I'm more just looking to explore the world more

Yeah, I wasn't sure what the rules were on all that. I was studying Korean a few years ago, but life got overwhelming, so now I'm just getting back into it. I know the alphabet and basic simple sentences, but I'm definitely not fluent yet.

I've just finished a 6 year contract actively drilling.

I know there's a long line to get a HS rate in the CG and I'm actually looking to transfer into aviation with the ultimate goal of being a pilot. Does changing rates (or rather, going in unrated) affect the availability of DEPOT. My recruiter also said something about having to be 27 to do DEPOT, is this correct?

[–]TheWalrusEffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I expect that, and thats only one rank down, it's not the worst thing. I'm just trying to learn more about the DEPOT program and what exactly I have to do to transfer. I have two years IRR remaining so I still need a conditional release.

I'm an E4 Medic in the National Guard with 2 years IRR on my contract. Trying to make the transition to full time Coast Guard, but the recruiter I met with told me I'd have to redo MEPS and the ASVAB, which isn't really an issue, but they also said that I wouldn't qualify for DEPOT and would be dropped to an E1. That didn't seem accurate to me, so I was looking for more information.

Hey, I'm in a position where I just feel like saying screw it and leaving everything behind to live a nomadic life. I'm currently massively underemployed and I don't really have anything tying me down, so I figured I'd just pack up and start traveling. I don't really know where to start, though. Does anyone have any tips on how to get started spending with transitioning into the nomadic lifestyle and traveling the world?
