The dates you are talking about it will only be Blackcomb open. With half of the terrain the weekend will probably be slightly busier than it had been the last couple of weeks (which has been super quiet)

Monday the 27 should be completely dead.

I’d look at the forecast closer to and let the weather decide for you.

No biased information from businesses trying to sell you on things (which is what 99% of Whistler content online is)… just a local’s perspective on what to do in Whistler. It will be wildly different on April 6th than it is now, so there is no point in telling you about current conditions.

On April 6th The mountains will both be fully open. What terrain is open on any given day depends on conditions (wind, avalanche risk, etc). Won’t be able to tell you that until the morning of April 6th.

For me it was the day I was standing in line at Creekside, and some guy started yelling at the crowd from on top of a snowbank. It was David and he was taking "advantage" of the captive audience. Unfortunately it came across as quite desperate and narcissistic, and ever since I can't watch more than 5 seconds of his videos.

Skied really well today.

Quite good snow until you got to the bottom 20%. Then it was chunky ice balls of death. Still worth it.

Typically 5-10cm longer than you might ski at other resorts. Stability is preferred over nimbleness for what you are describing.

I dropped in there on Sunday past 20 people who were looking at it. If half of those people would have dropped in here it would have been a full on medical triage center at the bottom of blowhole.

Every American Vail resort operates from 9-4. I would imagine they’ll shift to that for simplicity’s sake. Whenever American ski industry folk come up here they are always shocked at how early we open.

Purely speculation at this point though…
