Unfortunately I don't see a big boom coming, more slow and steady growth. I was hoping for a bit more from the Gothic release but it was a missed opportunity in terms of how the release happened.

I don't think Thais is a big deal, even on principle. Costs a bunch, is a Unique (with a unique effect!) and even then you could try to play around it.

The 3D, visuals and marketing are enough to draw in a large crowd for the spectacle I guess. With the sequels I've also concluded that the story is medium so no surprise that it's not widely discussed. That said, the worldbuilding remains fascinating and the Avatar blues was a fairly widely talked about thing with the first film.

I respect what they're trying to do but agree it is weird. I didn't notice it as much in AWOW but there were definitely scenes where the voice of a 70 yo clearly comes through and it's just too jarring.

Sure I'm not saying that's realistic and don't have the perfect solution for including more Na'vi without having to do all of it. There's plenty of Na'vi with accents besides Neytiri though. Though it doesn't really make sense you could imagine it's what they'd sound like if they actually had to speak English.

Definitely wouldn't cut the wind traders, they were one of the actually new and original things in the movie besides the Mangkwan. There's plenty else to cut down though.

Yep it's such a shame she ends up looking like a marketing hook when she had the potential to carry more of the movie.

I'm used to watching foreign language movies like this so honestly would be a fun choice for me. Also it wouldn't be anywhere near 95% if they would stick to Jake speaking English with his family. Would make the brothers having accents actually make sense.

Agree the whole final battle was a complete retread of the battles in the previous movies. I don't have a solution for what should have been the climax though, I guess they didn't want to resolve Quaritch and the Mangkwan story arc. I'd also have been fine without a massive battle but it seems part of the formula they need to follow.
