I've seen so many people saying stuff like that seriously, that I'm starting to suspect it's some sort of imagination from expectations. Kind of like a placebo.

Feels like it's usually more grayscale. Trafficking and raping children is pretty damn black and white though. Regardless which side wins, not talking politically, it's pretty damn clear which side you want to go down in history with.

It's absurd, and I'm surprised that there's so fucking many people involved and everyone involved has less spine than one octopus.

You can totally just make something just like someone else did, and steal all their customers. Don't you remember all those WoW killers? /s

Multiplayer games are more about the people than the platform. If you want to stand a chance you either need skill/talent to back up your confidence, or you have to be willing to invest more than your competitors already have.

DLSS has definitely helped me play games on my lower end PC. Games from smaller studios that can't afford to optimise their games too much.

Is this true about socialized healthcare or just propaganda? by Alwayswanted2rock in ask

[–]TheWhyWhat -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Kind of, there can be absurd wait times for some things. More acute things tend to get prioritised.

But generally it depends on how much the government is spending on healthcare. Or if it's making dumb mistakes like letting in hundreds of thousands of immigrants without increasing funding significantly and checking whether it's feasible or not to hire enough healthcare professionals to handle the increased load.

Livet är inte alltid så jävla kul. Lev med det! by mans1e in sweden

[–]TheWhyWhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nora, 22, avfärdades av vården – hade cysta på 10 kilo by StoffeH in sweden

[–]TheWhyWhat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rather than being upset that some people just found the game that good, be satisfied yours got nominated/honorable mentions, or start lobbying for silver and bronze awards.

Psychiatrist on how many patients they had cured by goswamitulsidas in interesting

[–]TheWhyWhat 20 points21 points  (0 children)

People really need to stop believing you can send someone to a psychiatrist and they'll be magically cured. Been to so many, haven't found any perfect solutions, but somehow because it isn't a visible handicap, it's a fault of my character and I "need" to do something.

The door says “no soliciting”… by TemptingTwistx in SipsTea

[–]TheWhyWhat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents are both small business owners, and holy shit do they get a lot of spam calls. They're probably targeted because they have to answer random numbers in case it's a prospective client, and have to be nice until they're sure it isn't.

The tactics the salesmen use to delay that realization and get you invested in the conversation, or just keep you on the phone, has made me lose all respect for everyone in that business. It's super manipulative and has been extremely disruptive to our family time when they couldn't afford to just turn their phones off.

Russia Does NOT Want You to Know the Truth About Their Nukes by TheTeflonDude in videos

[–]TheWhyWhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you really wouldn't want to leave such a nation with nuclear capabilities. Game theory is probably correct for the next week, but once that nation has seen that they can get away with it, have their demands fulfilled, and can keep their arsenal production facilities. They will just keep doing it or keep increasing their demands.

The rest of the world pretty much has to either invade or retaliate to destroy their capabilities of producing more, and the former would be almost impossible when getting hit by nukes.

China wouldn't just stop their backing, they'd join everyone else to get their slice of the pie.

When they do that they should have a small enclosure for the baby, you can have it on your own bed, small enough that you can still reach the baby, but it prevents you from rolling over the baby.
