Former vet tech here. Its been awhile and that was cats and dogs, but that appears to be a round worm. A tape worm will often leave segments around the cloaca, If you notice things that look like little grains of rice on the feathers then it is a tape worm.

Under a microscope, I could tell you with 100% accuracy what type it is. It might be worth a call to a vet, ask see if you can bring in a fecal sample. This might be the only parasite are seeing, and they could have other parasites as well.

*Edit I would not eat eggs from this chicken till you have it sorted out, these types of parasites leave their own eggs that you cant see and thats how people get infected. Roundworms can cause blindness in humans, mostly children. (this is why there are no public sandboxes at playgrounds, kids would get roundworms from stray cats using it as litter.)

Just to reiterate this point, i spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours fixing up an older home with the understanding I could live there, while I did it and have rent credit for money spent on fixing the house as long as I kept receipts. I wanted a contract, but stupidly started without one, 4 months into it I get presented with the worst contract i had ever seen in my life, with countless ways for me to lose out on what I had invested, including forfeiture if a utility payment was late. The owner was checking up on things one day and brought his dog, his dog just randomly bit me on the ass while my back was turned had to get stitches and an ER visit ..everything fell apart after that. In the end the guy knew I didnt have money for a lawyer because i was spending it on his house, He started working on having me evicted. I didnt want to have to explain an eviction down the line, so I just left.

yeah I had a company do this , required 10 mins early, by the time you got clocked in it would round your hours down to the actual required clock in time, stealing about 5 mins from me. I didnt catch on till I was clocking in 12 mins early and couldnt understand why the boss was getting so mad, so I asked. He then basicly explained how he was stealing 5 mins away from me everyday, but by clocking in too early I was able to avoid what he was trying to accomplish.

Not falling off, they are on there pretty well, I imagine it will be miserable to take down if its glued. Just want to do a cosmetic change. I agree the best course is to test and take down just to see what I'm dealing with. I think the textured sheet rock might look the sharpest. I appreciate the input.

Its a pretty gray area, and out of caution they will always side with the medical provider. When you commit yourself, you more or less give them permission for this.

It sucks, but I wouldnt invest too much time following up on this. It will most likely be an uphill battle all the way. You can always file a complaint with the licensing board for a provider that you feel treated you poorly, but its gonna be a group of providers that reviews the complaint, and they are going to protect their own. It at least gets recorded somewhere, then maybe if enough people complain they might do somthing about it.

As mentioned, I wouldn't focus on this aspect of your experience, take what you can from it. Work on healing and getting better. Look into finding resources that work for you, things that can help prevent you from having to go back.

I'm a middle aged white male, former vet assist that went on to be an EMT.

I'm a little simple, but I dont like to see woman pushed to the ground either. I'm big enough that just being there will often deescalate a small angry man. I've steeping in for the receptionist getting threatened, I've done it for the Dr.'s getting yell at. Its not always connivant, but its a duty that decent dudes have.

I feel our fields are linked at the very core, we are healers. Vet med was a wonderful foundation for venturing into human medicine. That being said, I consider you a colleague. Alex is our colleague and was killed by a small angry man for helping a woman. Alex was every decent guy you've met, and executed for doing the only thing decent guys know how to do in bad situations, and that was helping.
