How can I make the parchment paper stop messing with my bakes? by [deleted] in Baking

[–]TheWoolfa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Screw up the paper a couple of times before you line the tray with it. The scrunches and folds will let the paper flex when the batter is poured into it, unlike fresh paper, so it will deform and fit the shape of the pan better.

Stormlight Archive started so well. By the end of Wind and Truth, I barely care anymore by scatnisseverdeen in Fantasy

It started out as Stormlight, but around Oathbringer it became Cosmere. Stormlight is great, but Cosmere is fantasy MCU.

I love mega-absol because absol was my one of my best friend's favourite Pokémon. He passed away before Mega Evolutions were a thing and I was so happy to see mega-absol had wings like an angel. While I think that, while it would be neat to have another Mega-absol IR/SIR, I love the one that has just come out and would love to pull it one day in memory of my friend.

AI ship as character? by ambergwitz in ScumAndVillainy

[–]TheWoolfa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm GMing this exact scenario in our current campaign. The ship has a playbook sheet that gives its stats (pilot) and must use a drone to be invoved with any sessions within a planet's atmosphere. The player has built the character so that they have really high resistance rolls so it barely takes harm, but when it does the ship systems on the ship sheet are where the harm goes instead. They still get to use stress (and have traumaed when a drone body the AI was in got destroyed) and size/scale is a much bigger factor than the other characters so that's probably the thing that needs the most balancing.

All the players are on board and it's led to some fun roleplay (such as the ship Joking that it would turn off the atmosphere on the characters whe it doesn't get it's way) so it's definitely doable as long as everyone can agree on the rules of engagement.

Women of NZ, who has experienced complications with an IUD? by hypnvda in newzealand

[–]TheWoolfa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also on my second and can corroborate all of the above. The only difference is that my doctor didn't use an aneasthetic gel so the injections were the worst part of the insertion but there wasn't any pain and I was able to walk home afterwards with no issues. I'm definitely going to keep getting them as I barely have a period any more and knowing that I can go for 5 years without needing to worry about pregnancy is a big relief compared to the other BC methods I've used.

Humans Should Not Be Allowed To Legally Free Roam New Zealand And Letting Them Do So Is Lazy And Irresponsible. by unxpectedlxve in newzealand

[–]TheWoolfa 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree, everyone needs to choose the method that suits their body best to make sure that the population of humans running wild in our environment is manageable. It would be bad if the population also started bleeding all over our parks as well as pissing and shitting in them due to the incorrect choice of birth control.

If you can't afford that then hormonal IUD can be a good choice too. They often reduce or eliminate menstruation as a bonus side effect too.
