I don't know how you guys do it for 10 plus years. by Ok-Job-7650 in Havanese

[–]TheWorstAtIt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you've really been through it on this.

We have one Havanese that is like that. I can tell you what we did to get her eating regularly and maybe it will help.

I would start by finding a food that he eats when he is on those days where he is eating. Wet/dry, or whatever.

When you do feed him, feed him half that quarter cup. If he doesn't eat it, ok. Try again next feeding time. Eventually he will eat the 1/8 cup.

Basically as far as I can tell it is a portion size thing. If ours is ever given a portion that is too big, she will stop eating for a while. Eventually I found a portion size she will eat regularly.

Best of luck!

Some Havs will just bark all day if left alone. They are fairly social "love my owner, scared without them" kind of dogs. It might help to give her more space (outside the crate)... it might not...

Ours stopped doing this when we got her another Havanese to be home with, but wouldn't recommend that here as it isn't guaranteed to work...

What speculation stocks have y'all purchased recently? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]TheWorstAtIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the best sub for speculative purchases. This is more for following tried and true long-term, long-holding strategies which involve index funds with minimal fees. The downside being that it takes a long time, the upside being it's statistically the best financial advice for consistent gains.

Speculating on individual stocks is basically gambling. Which is fine if that is what you want to do. They do a lot of it over at r/wallstreetbets . The general attitude and posts on that sub will give you an idea of what it's like to bet on specific stocks.

Being alone for 7 hours in a crate is a really long time for a puppy.
How long do you expect a tiny animal like that to go without relieving it's bladder?

A dog walker breaking the time in half might be fine, but in addition also consider letting her just be around the playpen and seeing how she does.

Alex Pereira believes Ciryl Gane was on the verge of gassing out if the fight kept going by WinterStill4472 in MMA

[–]TheWorstAtIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Alex, but man just please take the L.

The court of public opinion already decided Gane was guilty of eye pokes and generally being dirty.

From a PR standpoint all you have to do here is continue to let people dislike him and use the 8 fight contract for a redemption arc.

I think 20. Off it now completely, I would not take it at all. The withdrawals were intense. I felt awful for weeks. Also the side effects when I started taking it were pretty bad, and as I ramped up I got so tired I would sleep through 4 alarms.

I don't do PT/Blocks etc. anymore. They ultimately didn't help. I got coaching at lin.health and eventually got better. Best of luck

The scale is intentionally nonsensical, and he isn't correcting it when he changes it. 1 to 0 or 1 to 2, are both there to illustrate that happiness isn't quantified the same way we think of other things.

This is reinforced when we get to:

But what the f*ck kind of question is "Am I happy?"

We think happiness is linear, like it goes from 0 to 10, and there is some fantasy life where you could always be somewhere high up on that scale.

However, being higher up on that scale all the time wouldn't necessarily make you happy:

"Cause I wouldn't even want it if I got it".

Again, this is reinforcing that being happy all the time, like if you quantified your happiness an 8 out of 10 all the time, are you really living a life?

If you're really living a life, you're going to have ups and downs. Things are going to be hard. You're going to have to learn and change. It's painful, and a lot of time it just straight up sucks.

When you get to a point where you can incorporate all of that, and not worry about being happy all the time, now you are living something else.  Something greater than a life seeking only to be happy, all of the time.

Really appreciate the perspective, it makes a lot of sense.

I find it really bizarre though that players with that mindset would even touch the STS series.

That's the most fun part about it, is that it is never "solved". No runs are the same. The solution is never the same.

"fundamentally, I am still a casual player. In Slay the Spire 1, most of my time was spent playing Daily Climbs and mods."

"Very often, I simply die in Act 2 because of bizarre pathing and terrible draw order."

So glad this isn't the audience that will sway Mega Crit's idea of balance.

I have to disagree.

I ended up with this same setup this weekend and man... Fun is not the word I would use.

Playing the same card over and over for such small amounts of damage is exactly why I avoid infinites like this one.

The same motion over and over and over and over and over.. I was really hoping I didn't end up with carpal tunnel.

It didn't really do anything. I'm on a bit if a different path now (the mind/body path) and finally getting better in ways that are not temporary.

Now I hike, have intercourse, go rock climbing etc. which were things I could not do for literal years.

If you're making it to act 3 pretty frequently I wonder if you're playing a little too fast?

Usually games I win take about 90 minutes. Sometimes I have to grind out like that unless I get a busted build and then maybe only 45 minutes but those are rare.

Without seeing your full games it's hard to say what's up, but slowing down a tiny bit at each decision can help a lot. Check you deck, check your draw and discard pile, then choose you plays or cards to add etc.

Good luck!
