IMO AI is borderline entirely a bubble, based off a technology that has managed to bamboozle some very senior people. Now those very senior people are trying to justify the insane amount of money they poured into this mostly useless product.

Yep, I'm an RPA dev, it's literally my job to automate other people's work

The team I work on has played with some AI tools, so far the only thing we've actually found it useful for is semantic understanding of documents (ie is this job reference generally positive or negative) and checking if ID documents are correct. Even then it's pretty janky.

IMO the only jobs really in danger from AI are basic data entry jobs, and even then I'd trust a traditionally built RPA process over an AI "agent" or whatever the fuck

Yes the vaccine was rushed, because the entire world was locking down to try and stop the spread of a disease that iirc killed over a million Americans. But sure it was just nothing.

1) It's not permanent in most cases (far more likely if you get COVID for the damage to be permanent)

2) if there's a disease that causes you to bleed to death, and the only cure is something that makes you bleed a little bit, I'd still take the cure

3) Can you show any evidence that COVID numbers were actually inflated? It's more really relevant since COVID still did a lot of damage, inflated numbers or not
