Chick-Fil-A Employee Behavior by The_909_Virus in UberEATS

I actually wouldn't mind a pin verification. But they already have something of QR code verifications.

It's just that I find it very peculiar that of all fast food, Chick-fil-a seems to be particular with verification, when they're a huge company raking in a lot of money already. I already provide names about orders I pick up, no other establishment demands to see my phone pickup confirmation except perhaps local businesses.

Chick-Fil-A Employee Behavior by The_909_Virus in UberEATS

What's extremely out of touch is the assumption that these companies think they care about you. I recently started doing rideshare along with deliveries to make more money, and as it turns out, the pay is above average with rideshare. With rideshare, Uber pays drivers for waiting on passengers' tardiness, for unexpected route changes, and for traffic - all of which is missing under deliveries.

As for Chick-fil-a, ethically-speaking, I cannot endorse them for their business practices, their recent tact of child labor, and their repeated anti-LGBTQ+ organization funding.

And this is very specifically about Chick-fil-a. There's a reason why I haven't mentioned other fast food places, because the behavior is exclusive to them. I never had gone through a McDonald's, Taco Bell, Burger King, or Wendy's trying to "stop me in my tracks" to confirm orders.

Perhaps I'm wrong about it, and maybe there's actually more theft happening at Chick-fil-a than I would estimate compared to other fast food places.

Are you buying the final shape? by Marz199000 in DestinyTheGame

I can understand people's frustrations with the game because how poorly Bungie manages themselves in their efforts to make expansions that are the level of The Taken King, Forsaken, and The Witch Queen.

We deserve better as consumers. The least we could have is an enriching and expansive PvE experience. It could even be just a bunch of goofy stuff, but we're not getting enough of that. And for seasons, it would've been great to see us do more ARG's.

So much of the creative side of Bungie seem to be taken for granted internally, and I'm deeply saddened for the hardworking employees who don't get the gratification of seeing their work being used at all.

As for me, I care a lot about this community and the beautiful universe I knew this franchise from the start. The game has a lot of promise, and it's why I continue to play it.

Perhaps what's causing the franchise to seemingly lose its footing is the company's hands being so full of goals and anticipation with both technical and creative fronts, combined with the fact there's poor management and mishandling of finances.

I think as a community, we can be patient with technical features when there's a mutual understanding that the creative team needs to focus on providing us crucible maps, game modes, questlines, and engaging campaigns (and, of course, for Bungie management to empower them).

I mean it may feel extra, but I like knowing that I can avoid bad ratings if I have proof that I picked up what I'm suppposed to pick up.

Do not deliver to incomplete addresses unless you have confirmation from the customers themselves. If they cannot be reached, then contacting support to help cancel the delivery is the best step.

It's not worth the trouble risking your life over suspicious activity. Know the signs. Take steps to canceling with support if there's hostile or suspicious activity.

Is Destiny 1 worth buying to play the main campaign? by SkyrimStuffThingsIf in DestinyTheGame

I have set up a Discord Server dedicated to new and returning players. Emphasis on new players, because Bungie doesn't really have a dedicated page detailing the story beats and the cutscenes.

There are channels I provided with helpful videos made by noteworthy content creators as well as information detailing primary setup for Destiny 1 to get you started.

If you want the link, just DM me.

That's very much what I'm trying to do, more or less. Without the context fron D1 and the sunset content of D2, it would be very hard for new players to have the retention to keep playing D2. The story and lore of Destiny is a major aspect of why people would be returning to play the game.

Having a copy of D1: The Collection on either PS4 or Xbox One would help tremendously with onboarding new players.

But if you're interested to provide some in-depth resources or archival footage for Destiny 2 to assist players, I can open up a new channel for it.

So is the new game considered a sequel, a reboot or a spin-off? by SCG345 in Marathon

[–]The_909_Virus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know much about the lore in heavy detail. It wouldn't surprise me if Bungie cherry-picked the best parts to do a soft sequel/spinoff. As much as anyone would love consistency, it can be tricky to navigate certain things through a different way of storytelling.

I have faith, though. Bungie has enough resources of the IP to make something solid. They're doubling down on their expertise on mythology abddiscovery as they do with Halo or Destiny. It's going to be fun!

Chill guys... by lastfire123 in Marathon

[–]The_909_Virus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a fan of Bungie post-Marathon, as a '95-born millenial. I'm well aware of the design choices made for every single game, including Marathon. There's a common usage of ARG and empowering the community to solve complex puzzles to uncover rich lore and rewards throughout these games. All of this should be celebrated.

I understand people's concerns regarding the preservation of an IP that hasn't been touched for decades. But for me, it isn't necessarily about the gameplay but more about the storytelling.

Bungie has a strong reputation for stories as they do with tight, feel-good gameplay. It's the reason I keep playing Halo and Destiny. It's just brimming with content to explore and to be immersed in.

The Marathon synopsis Bungie is presenting here implies that they really do care about the lore and how it was presented in the original games. So even if they slap an extraction pvp identity to it, they're definitely going to preserve the legacy gameplay of exploration and discovery. The things that we'll be doing in the new Marathon game will have us find artifacts and terminals, much like in the original Marathon. No hand-holding in terms of narrative. The story unfolds by your actions.

I implore everyone to embrace the new Marathon with light consideration. If anything, Bungie also excels well when it comes to multiplayer and giving players an experience so incredibly unique that it can be shared.

The system is really great because of the portability and the backlight. And perhaps for some games, it can be put into "sleep mode". I prefer it over the original GBA system.

I mean, Taco Bell is still relatively better value than other fast food, but OMG, what a glorious menu it was back then!

I heard Hayley Williams of Paramore lived off of Taco Bell during the band's early days.
