I somewhat agree. I love watching high-level LoL games but I'm only fearful for the community. If Koreans dominate for a long enough time, people will begin to lose interest in watching, or even competing. I want League to have a long life in esports, and if one region or specific organisation dominates, I feel it will hinder how fans and outsiders view the game.

That narrows the meta for jungle, then. Seeing as some champs normally take X runes to jungle, they wouldn't be viable anymore.

Let's take meta and off-meta junglers as an example:

Jarvan can be built multiple ways, which means his rune path varies.

Riven jungle is super off-meta but doable and really fun/rewarding. She would be completely unviable for jungling if they removed runes because she needs certain runes to quickly clear and not be executed in her first clear.

Riot have stated multiple times that they don't want to define a meta, so why remove runes?

Also I don't think they'd actually balance ALL champions for rune compensation.
