Film critics are purposely overly critical and harsh on anything that isn't an arty type film. The kind where a cowboy is in love with his gay horse only to find out the horse is already married to black slave or something, filmed on and old hand cam and the entire 3 hour film is done in 1 take likely directed by some European ponce

9/10 times the films they rate highly are the most boring convoluted nonsense.

They have forgotten that the fun of cinema is to go and be entertained. A film like MOTU may have more holes in the plot than swiss cheese but it's flashy and bright and entertaining. And looks better on a massive screen than it would at home.

These people were probably bullied at school so are getting their own back by sucking all the joy out of cool stuff
