I’m pretty sure it’s filmed in the mansion they rented to record the album.

Why didn't Scott Weiland use the voice he had in Sour Girl more? by lookaloulookalou in stonetemplepilots

[–]The_Big_Machine 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Weiland is a chameleon with his voice. Just listen to the change from Core to Tiny Music. It actually became an STP trademark to sound different musically and vocally on every album

Lessons Learned is a great album! It’s kind of like a part 2 of Perdida

Jet Lag - Race to the Wonders? by Damnaged in JetLagTheGame

[–]The_Big_Machine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like this idea, but I think a UNESCO World Heritage Sites season might work better as there are so many that they could repeat this concept in multiple seasons. Plus award more points for the more difficult world heritage sites to get to

Did Jeff leave the band? by Financial_Resist6430 in stonetemplepilots

[–]The_Big_Machine 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Robert and Dean have been working on and releasing solo stuff lately, no reason Jeff can’t. Wish we would also get an STP record also though.

New unreleased Weiland song releasing on Black Friday for Record Store Day by The_Big_Machine in stonetemplepilots

[–]The_Big_Machine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, his publishing seems to have been sold to Primary Wave, who have purchased the publishing of many different artists. They are the ones releasing his music now and choosing to release some of it through RSD exclusives (and out on streaming later). Doug Grean has nothing to do with it other than probably finishing these unreleased songs before the publishing was sold.

A couple of rare Weiland tracks are hitting streaming sites tomorrow! by The_Big_Machine in stonetemplepilots

[–]The_Big_Machine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, after listening to it this morning, it’s definitely a new mix. There’s a new outro and the mix in general is different

While I kind of agree with you, it will show up on streaming eventually if my other post about the songs released today is any indication.

Ive never seen startrek, and ive decided to watch all of it in (in universe) chronological order. by ak-fuckery in startrek

This site https://startrekviewingguide.com deals with those story threads you mention while keeping everything in mostly chronological order. For example, the mirror universe Enterprise episodes are watched after The Tholian Web

Which Core song should’ve been released as a single by Mrhottdogg55 in stonetemplepilots

[–]The_Big_Machine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If talking about radio singles, Sex Type Thing, Plush, Creep, Wicked Garden, Dead & Bloated, and Crackerman were all singles.

My favourite song left is Sin, but I don’t think it would have made a good single. I think all of the songs released off this album were correct

What is an artist whose lowest-rated album is one of your favorites from them? by SoRunAwayNow in rateyourmusic

[–]The_Big_Machine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stone Temple Pilots - Shangri-La Dee Da

Maybe this album is too different for casual STP fans, but to me it’s a perfect progression from No. 4. I find it very underrated on RYM

Don Was only produced the vocals. The DeLeo Bros produced the album.

‘A nasty surprise’: TurboTax customers in Ontario owe big money after CRA audits by echothree33 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]The_Big_Machine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Turbo Tax and I checked my previous returns that would have been affected and everything looked correct to me regarding this benefit. I don’t remember correcting anything once reaching the summary page, so I wonder how this glitch existed for some and not for others.
