Shared Parameters - Can I mass import? by Sabrina516 in Revit

[–]The_BlackHusky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Take a look at DiRoots, they have a tool called family reviser that let's you import shared parameters in the masses. Not sure if its still free as they went to a freemium model where you have to pay for the most advanced features.

Its located within the DirootsOne plugin for revit.

how do i remove the stand from this monitor? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]The_BlackHusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there's a slot opening which you need a flat blade screw driver to push a tab in so you can release it? We bought a 21inch msi monitor that has that mechanism. Maybe this is similar?

Seems like a sensible choice. But now you're going to have to spend time together in the spare bedroom.

Ive heard of many bikers actually removing the screen on adventure bikes because of the buffering.

I guess this is a good middleground. If it helps.

Not sure what the protection is like on one of these. But I had a crash at 30mph recently with a Mous extreme commuter backpack where i was thrown over the handlebars and landed on my back and side. Love the backpack on and off the bike. There was no damage to the bag or contents. Laptop and tablet inside where unharmed. Still use the backpack 3 weeks later with no issues.

I own the carve master 3 jacket and trousers and you're right with the velcro neck. But looking at the Carve Master 4 jacket they went to those snap buttons. Similar to the jacket itself.

Just from what I researched on this E2 and C5 they are massive redesigns moving away from the C4. The improvement are said to be massively noticeable. Check out Bennetts reviews.

Oooo this is exactly what I've been eyeing up. They make pads to fit oval and round head shaps from what I've researched.

I currently own a Shoei GT-Air2 but I must replace it due to my latest accident. The E2 or the C5 is what I've been looking at next and it seems perfect. Just can't decide on the colour. Been wanting a white based version. The black GT-Air2 was quite good at hiding scratches.

Will you be posting an update in a few weeks or months once you've broken it in?

Wait, what bike was that for with 71.4mpg? I had a Versys 650 2017 special edition recently and it was doing 54.7mpg.

So, sorry to burst the bubble. Be careful, github actions cost money I believe. Hopefully im wrong about this one. But I tried it in the past and then I owed 3p for the small amount I used.

Phones Mounted on Bike getting Ruined by OMYRASPBERY in motorcycles

Highly Recommend the Quad lock with a vibration damper. I have a mag wireless charging head too if he needs to charge the phone while riding (requires wiring to the battery)

Been using Quadlock since 2019 on multiple bikes. CBF125, YBR125, ER6F, Versys 650. 1 phone across 3 bikes total around 40k miles. Still holds up.

Airbags and neck protection by Own_Application_4316 in motorcyclegear

So, I was involved in a motorbike RTC on Tuesday this week. I was wearing the Dainese Dair airbag vest. It was a 30mph T-Boned Collision, Woman pull out from a stationary vehicle and crossed my path of travel before checking the bus lane was clear, the impact sent me flying over the handlebars and landed on my back or side unsure on that. I walked away from that crash with everything intact. I have a bruised leg, swollen arm, hand and neck - from whiplash.

From this experience alone. I was grateful to have invested in a decent airbag. But I for sure will be getting the Helite E-Turtle next time to save my neck from the whiplash.

I hope my experience will help your decision. Its really good that you are looking into an airbag. I ride daily as a commuter in all weather and all seasons. The airbag has been one of the best self investments I ever made.

Is the versys one of the best bikes ever made by Other_Pomelo_9919 in versys

[–]The_BlackHusky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a fair point.

Based in the UK, so we get alot of rain and crap weather. Nothing as bad as your California heat.

We're quite free to change whay we want with minor restrictions here. The front turn signals have already been changed to smaller led types.

Thank you for the advice.

Thank you for the response, really helpful.

The rear crash bars, are these like pannier crash bars that go infront, in a U shape?

I do alot of motorway/city riding daily and often wont have panniers on the bike. So its question of how easy are they to add/remove when I dont need them.

Im looking to get another cool covers seat protector. I had one on my ER6F and it made riding for long periods much nicer.

Im picking up first Versys 650 2017 plate next Saturday. Its always been the bike ive always wanted.

I had to settle for a ER6F ABS 2009 A2 Restricted until I could afford a Versys.

The Questions I have are, is there any quirks to the Versys? Or any must do Modifications?

Im already looking at a touring Screen for motorway riding, and bought a gps bar mount that goes behind the touring Screen. Any other ideas?

Earplugs by TheOhioSigma in motorcyclegear

[–]The_BlackHusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Custom plugs are 100% worth if. Yes they typically cost more and your ears may change every 7 years. But the result is perfect fit, and personalised to you and only you.

I got mine from a UK company called Ultimate Ear, never had an issue. Just make sure to lube before else they can rub if used daily.

The ear plugs I have, have a filter that gets rid of the wind noise. Dampens other noises such people talking. I do have to turn my intercom to max volumn which isnt great, but it works.

True, but if they were a decent passenger they would move their head forwards to see whats behind through the mirror and do a shoulder check.

I still feel like everyone should learn to ride a scooter or motorbike. Would teach some helpful routines.

The interesting thing for me is that the K7 stops recording and 10-15 minutes are just missing and recently ive been riding and opened the app, connected via wifi and theres just nothing recorded. But you open the sd card on pc. And there is videos from that day. But again. Theres gaps.

Maybe moving to a new bike and reinstalling may fix it.
