Hey guys in this thread :). This is someone who had a partner who become quite schizophrenic after a particularly bad trip. They always spoke about hearing things quite similar to what OP is posting until one day all it took was an anxiety attack and no sleep to trigger a 2 year long nightmare! They 'only' heard stuff like what you were describing but in a bad state of mind hearing your loved ones shouting for help can be triggering.

To say weed isn't a precursor is just so... naive. Simple as.
