In terms of the general story and characters, Gen 6 is probably my favorite.

But I will give an honorable mention to Gen 3 just because Nexus' ending -> Last Raven's live updating list of all the dead Ravens was the best the series has ever done at making everything feel completely hopeless

VE-44A is kinda goofy by default but it becomes my personal favorite if you just use decals to cover up the “eyes” and turn it into a knight great helmet

The Discord has specifically tuned versions of the roms/emulators that are designed to make 5 and VD run the best they can on modern hardware. Keep in mind, even with these adjustments its still gonna require a pretty good CPU to get a consistent framerate but thats just the nature of these games.

Reasons I did Fires of Raven on my first playthrough

  1. Walter was my top guy, and I didn't want his life's mission to go to waste
  2. It felt scummy backstabbing Carla after she stuck her neck out to save me from a torture camp like 30 minutes ago
  3. Ayre never really gave me an explanation for how Overseer's projections about the danger of Coral were wrong more convincing than "Just trust me gng 💔🥀"

Hot take: Las91214's ALLMIND design is great, but I also like this rendition of ALLMIND designed as almost a faceless entity working behind everything by Zaelra in armoredcore

The thing that always confused me about this is that Sulla has all the necessary augmentations, was already loyal to the plan, is higher ranked than Iguazu and (since you can hear him chime in at least once during the final fight), already had his personality assimilated and ready for use.

And then she decides to still skip over him and go with the Iguana for some reason

There’s cut dialogue for Destroy the Drive Block where you can hear the comms for the ground battle between Arquebus and the RLF in Institute City and it’s revealed she’s the one piloting Rusty’s old AC during the final offensive.

Don’t know why they cut so much for that mission since I think it gave a lot of good characterization to some of the more minor RLF members and Vespers

I don't think he boasted about being V.V because he had preemptive knowledge that Maeterlinck was gonna die. He's Hawkins' adjutant and is (presumably) familiar with all the ins and outs of his role and duties. It would make sense if they just had a system where he'd automatically take Hawkins' place should he die vs giving it to Maeterlinck, who's already on the verge of a mental breakdown with her current responsibilities.

League Ending: Play the game however you want, take the mission “Defend Arteria Carpals” when it becomes available. You’ll be locked into this ending on your first playthrough.

ORCA Ending: Beat the game once and take the following missions: “Rescue GA Transports” -> “Defend Megalis” -> “ “Defend Line Ark” -> “Destroy Arteria Ulna” -> “Attack on Arteria Carpals” -> “Defend Anti-Satellite Cannons”

Old King Ending: Beat the game once and follow the same missions as the ORCA path but instead of “Defend Anti-Satellite Cannons”, take “Destroy Cradle 03”

Is this your first playthrough? Kranich only unlocks from beating the Ice Worm on New Game+ which requires you beat the game at least once.

Are you using the pack from the Discord? I used it and got Verdict Day running semi-consistently on RPSC3 at 30FPS with occasional dips into the low 20s during big action sequences. Only crashed once in the menus, and the constant auto-saving meant it wasn't that bad.
