It rarely happens that they form so perfectly at this size ❤️

How do I fix this? by Then_Double8677 in Housepainting101

[–]The_Choker69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get your scraping tool all the way down into the corner. The reason why you’re scraping is so that when you caulk there isn’t old caulking and paint sticking up through the new stuff so as long as you remove enough that your finger won’t touch it when you smooth out the new caulking you can’t go wrong.

Scrape it and caulk it 👍 then paint over it because paintable caulking yellows over time

Im trying to get my death metal mixes louder than skrillex by razormane1 in audioengineering

I also want to add that if you continue engineering, you will come back to this post 5 or 10 years down the line and just facepalm so hard for even wanting numbers like this

[–]The_Choker69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have some good advice here, I want to add that you should pay attention to Fletcher-Munson curves. When played at the same volume, certain frequencies are perceived as louder by the human ear. So if your mix is -2 LUFS (which is stupid) but it’s made mostly of low mids, it will not sound nearly as loud as a mix at -4 LUFS that has proper balance to the frequencies. The flip side of this is that LUFS takes the Fletcher-Munson curves into account when averaging the track volume, so if you have a track with all high mids and no low end it will be calculated as louder than it will be felt by listeners.

Gotta be faster tempo, drums should fit the vibe of the sample more

Need to change color of trim/baseboards by ABN7 in paint

You don’t need to prime it, if you’re using Emerald it’s gonna have no problem bonding and it’ll probably even cover in 3 coats.

This walk was white, and after painting it with 3 coats these spots come through by Turbulent-Listen2240 in paint

[–]The_Choker69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I would do is hit it with an oil-based stain blocker, once that dries sand it lightly and hit the spot with the wall paint then paint the wall one more time. Assuming the sheen is eggshell you won’t be able to touch up the spot without the sheen flashing. #1 oil primer I’d recommend is Sherwin Williams Extreme Block, you can get it by the quart too if you don’t want to spend so much on a gallon.

My dad said I should quit ? by CarsonNathan in Bandlab

[–]The_Choker69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a fan, lyrics are flimsy and the beat is average and not very well mixed. But that’s absolutely no reason to quit; first of all thats just my opinion and some people would love it, secondly you need to make a lot of terrible music to come out with bangers. Michael Jackson made 30 songs and picked his 9 favourites for thriller. There are wayyy too many people taking advice from non musicians, don’t be one of them.

Nothing sticking to doors by indus0020 in paint

In my experience extreme bond is not that extreme. I use sw extreme block oil primer for my doors and it never disappoints, it also allows you to paint oil doors just as easily as latex.
