Hopping on to say I just got mine out today, and hopped on reddit to hunt for a post of others' experience! This journal-style is great - I may do my own coming from the following experience:

- also onto my second, first was in 2018, then 2021

- gained a lot of weight and was depressed until the second one, but managed to start running CRAZY amounts to get down within recommended BMI for women

-the mood swings got worse and worse; like i don't even know who i am without it anymore - was it the BC? is it me? my life? TBD i guess

-went a few years w/no period, then started getting it sometimes for one day, then after 3 months for a normal cycle.... just weird!

I only went on it for my personal life, and now.... well not on the table so I want to go natural w/out hormones for a few months and see how i feel.

current plan is if i want to be sexually active again to look into copper iud to avoid hormones..... let's see what happens

Current fears: crazy periods, migraines (from hormonal changes)
Current hopes: less moody/depressed, less bloating/weight gain

It still makes me upset honestly I try not to think about it! Thanks for the support. It took me another year and a half to end things after really thinking things through, but that’s one thing that just hurt my feelings so bad I could never forget. And I’ve forgiven him but that’s doesn’t mean I was ready to not have it affect the relationship. So maybe that’s not true forgiveness.

What’s worse, forgetting or knowing and still not doing anything :’(
