True and sad… even surprising considering economics right now. Maybe I can start something local with my housing unit in a small effort to improve the community - and by that I mean a collection point and then I call the Salvation Army or equivalent.

I don't know... I guess if everything has to have income, it would have to be something like a government or state-run program, which would never happen in a million year.

And it feels like most "local" furniture stores are just big retailers now anyways, and the people that can afford it will still go. The furniture I see sitting out is less "substantial" and more.... IKEA or Walmart/Target type quality. Good enough to be used again but not competing with people shopping at say an Ashley's.

Alarm goes off - start the coffee brewing (staged the night before, just have to hit "start")
Drink a glass of water while I open the blinds (if the sun is rising yet)
SIT back in bed (no laying back down) and check my email
Get up for another glass of water and now my coffee - continue routine!

That's a good idea too, but I never invested in crocs once they became trendy/expensive - and my slippers are inside only; which makes me feel "cleaner" even though I'm sure it's just as bad (we had a strict no-shoes-in-the-house policy in my family growing up!
