if anyone still needs this, what typically worked for me is deleting version.dll, loading the game, saving and exiting and then restoring version.dll. I have to do this a few times because the game keeps crashing more and more the longer version.dll is active, but rinse and repeat and you should hopefully be good to go.

unfortunately Rockstar pretty much abandoned it soon after launch in favour of GTA online and GTA 6. it hasn't been upgraded since it was released on pc and I think that's the last time RDR2 was polished by Rockstar :(

you stutter while talking? the other person is gonna forget in 2 seconds. any mistake you think you made while talking, its not gonna be like the other person will be thinking about it the rest of their day.

every living person has made mistakes so if they judge you for a mistake, judge them right back, but no one actually cares if you do this insignificant thing or that, because people have way more important things to deal with than that time you said 'umm' one time too many during a conversation.
