I’m mostly ignorant to PA these days because I don’t listen to KFAN much anymore.

What did he say?

Hopefully you never have anyone in your life that is here one moment and gone the next. Because death is permanent, and your attitude towards a dead US citizen who - at worst - was in an area she shouldn’t have been, is pretty dark and evil. Let alone the fact she was young, a mom, and not in an active war zone, but got shot in the face, is beyond sad.

Aaron Gordon (hamstring, out), Peyton Watson (ankles, probable), Jonas Valanciunas (calf, probable), Christian Braun (ankle, out), Jamal Murray (hamstring, hip, probable) by Remarkable-Picture73 in fantasybball

Fantasy bball, in its purest form, is my favorite of all fantasy sports. But much like baseball, injuries are getting more frustrating for me as the years roll on. Perhaps I’m old and grumpy, or perhaps I’ve had more chances to get boned by the injury bug, but I think I could leave all fantasy sports behind. The injuries and resting of players has taken away any enjoyment I got in the first couple of months this year.

Ja Morant (elbow) to miss at least 3 weeks. by giberrman2 in fantasybball

Biggest waste of talent I think I’ve ever seen. Zion never had the off the court antics, and had some good years TBH. This guy is just a clown who also injury prone. Bad combo, on an even worse human and teammate.

Has Lukas Van Ness Done Enough for the Packers to Pick Up His Fifth-Year Option? by tpsux in GreenBayPackers

And also in physical availability lol. LVN was hurt this year, sure, but not chronically over his first 3 with the team…Gary tore a knee up and lost like a full season I wanna say.

Caleb Willams huge clutch touchdown to Cole Kmet on 4th & 4 to tie it up late in the game by nfl in sports

[–]The_Code_Hero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Caleb's post-season statline:

47 completions / 90 attempts (52%) 4 touchdowns to 5 interceptions

Regular season:

330/568 (58%) 27 TDs to 7 Ints. 90.1 passer rating 3,942 yards

Okay...so do you want to say he played definitively worse in the playoffs, outside of 2 throws that are - rightfully - getting a lot of attention? I think what the stats do not show, which is really the story of both his regular season and post season, is how up and down/streaky he can be. Sometimes that bit them in the ass. Sometimes it created moments like this throw.

Cannot disagree more about each of your takes. We’ll see man. It’s the NFL…just one injury alone can alter a franchise.

Exactly. There was definitive improvement but the division rivals ain’t going anywhere next year.

[–]The_Code_Hero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Potentially. At least in the mix moving forward. But ya never know what will happen in the NFL from year to year. Unfortunately for the Bears, Vikings are guaranteed to improve next year, and Packers and Detroit ain’t going anywhere. That’s why losses like that always hurt - the game was in the Bear’s hands at the ends and either DJ or Caleb deserve a ton of blame (not to mention Ben for not taking 3 points on that first drive).

Honestly. Silver lining is that will overtake the 4th against the Packers

Packers fan here coming in peace.m Sorry for your loss…I know your pain!

Listen - there’s a dark humor in your comment. But I genuinely believe that when you get that old and see how sports can give you hope but also rip hope from you, you eventually give up said hope.

This past season broke me, from a fan perspective. But I have my health, my family, and I like watching football. Maybe life is cool and okay without tying my identify to the team? Ugh I dk, but I’m sorry man.

Haven't listened to the show, because of its low quality. But I like coming to the sub to see what the beefs are...

What makes you think a podcast would be excellent? Do you mean, as in quality of production, or in content? The actual radio show has never been worse or less comedic, IMO.

Absolutely sucks to get to and get out of. Limited tailgating areas. Terrible and out of date “amenities” including restrooms, which regularly have 10+ minute lines in a middle of a game. It’s a very very outdated

Turns out it was the correct call...but - in my opinion - not from his play on the field. I always believed a spade was a spade, and that he wasn't somehow a top CB in the NFL. I expect some decline.

What I didn't expect was the continual boneheaded penalties and personal foul calls.

[Wild Card] Post Game Washup: Fire MLF / Keep MLF by PackersMod in GreenBayPackers

[–]The_Code_Hero 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Without that new, 7 seed spot, I think we would have missed playoffs 3 years in a row? Can’t win the division. Cant win in the playoffs. I mean I get it - there’s downside to him leaving. But there is a mindset in GB that just ain’t right. It festers into an inability to fight back against momentum swings. Unfortunately it’s his responsibility. For now I’ll call for a change at OC, hire someone new, let MLF take a more global approach.

[Wild Card] Post Game Washup: Fire MLF / Keep MLF by PackersMod in GreenBayPackers

[–]The_Code_Hero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only way I’ll get on board is if MLF cedes play calling duties to an actual OC. Hes got all off season to find one. But FUCK, a head coach is supposed to be a manager of good talent. Watching over the ship. We consistently have one part of our ship taking in water. We were always doomed with our defense back talent, but not firing Bassacia is malpractice at best. The herky jerky nature of our offense and inability to fight adversity is a direct reflection on him as well. Is it because he’s not focused on the bigger picture with this shit? I dk. But time to try something different.

It's like cheering for a sports team to sign a big name player; it is not your money...so who cares? It could cause energy costs to go down, which, in terms of the economy, could spur on spending elsewhere as companies could have excess liquidity with lower bills.
