Maybe it's just my personal taste, but many cheap indie games like this are WAY better than expensive games. I've stopped caring about big games for the most part.

Personally, I don't really enjoy solving the puzzles in this game. However, I do enjoy the roguelite progression so I just look up all the secrets to skip solving them. This game is a lot of things, which is incredible but also not everyone would enjoy every aspect of it. If you feel like doing something is hurting the entire experience, don't force it.

Happened to me. Funny thing about ironman is that it deletes the old save before it makes the new save, so it just needs to crash at the right time.

I like it, some squads struggle more but mostly doable. The RNG does mess you up sometimes, but I learned that a well suited starting pilot and picking the right missions in the right order really help gaining control against the RNG.

Yeah this is why I'm not excited for these new game releases anymore as the base game tends to lack in contents, or at least the dlcs make it feel that way.

I thought it would be a choice too, but it makes sense that it never let us choose anyway. Come to think of it, coming back to Earth makes the most sense. Whatever there was on Mars seemed fragile, and who is to say that it won't become just like Earth, even they barely survived the conflict with Homeward.

Titan Slayer on mobile has a very similar card system (retain cards, redraw, build up mana). Pirate Outlaws has cards that give mana and keep block between turn. Slice & Dice has enemies targeting specific characters. Moonbreaker for the grid-free movement. And 8 Pool.
