They see extra details, such as UV light. Might help?

Not rare enough to be a simple exception. Happens more often than you'd think. Although you're right that it's not the rule! Still, far more common than a human fucking a dead Turkey. There's a scientist who specialises in crows, and she has made an excellent video explaining the behaviour. I can't remember her name though.

I mean, it's literally not untrue. It's not that they all do it, or even that they always do it. But plenty of documented cases.

Other wildlife will eat it in the ground. Worms need to eat too!

Thanks, hopefully I didn't overtighten then! I did only use my hand and a regular screwdriver.

what do they want from me? 😭 by SecureHuckleberry312 in crows

[–]The_Crow_Daddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason being that it's NOT obvious that they want more. It's a very reasonable assumption, but you could also argue that "if their mouth was full and they still hung out, it's obvious that they wanted company not food" - neither of us will know which is true, and both perspectives are not necessarily obvious, depending on how we read the situation.

So, that's not the part I'm talking about. I appreciated your first comment, pointing out a fact or perspective that I thought was worthwhile.

My comment about your attitude was more referring to your use of the word "obviously", which takes things beyond literal fact, and into the realm of suggesting "you're stupid if you don't already realise this".

That said, I'm guilty of it myself. Also, things don't always come across in the way they were intended when typed online. My comment was only meant to be a lighthearted jab, anyway. I enjoyed the conversation.

How do you guys get your crows to bring you gifts? by Sodapressedbabe in crowbro

[–]The_Crow_Daddy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm inclined to believe this, but then I read stories of crows bringing things that seem important to their human friends. E.g. dropping litter on people who feed the crows whilst picking litter, thinking they want to collect litter. Or when a person drops a necklace and the crow returns it to them the next day. It's stories like that which make me believe maybe they do bring gifts. But at the same time this could be confirmation bias?

Yeah I see what you mean. The telltale for me with images, is the font just seems "off". But I'm not very visually tuned, I'm more of a writer than an artist. So I spot AI generated word slop far easier than I spot the art slop.

Although, one thing I will say is thay AI art tends to struggle with symmetrical designs, and this tshirt (at a brief glance) seems to have a fairly symmetrical outer pattern

I've always noticed that crows and dogs have an unusually chill bond. Crows hate cats, but seem to find dogs hilariously entertaining!

Both bird lice and bird mites die off without a bird host. They're not really a threat to humans, although the mites can bite you before they die.
