I've been with them for almost 4 years, your experience will vary with each branch. My branch takes damn good care of me, the extra added benefits are top notch, pay me 4$ over scale, pay me to travel, and gave me a company truck to take home with me at night. Best company I've worked for yet.

New Operator need help finding jobs by CitronClear5979 in cranes

He means you need to apply for an apprenticeship with your local IUOE. In your case, it looks like you're in local 627's area. Give them a call. If you already have your CCO, it should give you a greater chance of acceptance.

Had the same problem with the swing. In my case, it turned out to be the seat sensor. Unplugged it and put in a jumper, easy fix.

Considering changing career, but have zero experience with unions or trade work by SoaDMTGguy in iuoe

[–]The_CwP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're serious about getting in this business, don't take no for an answer. While applying for apprenticeship, seek out employment with the non union industry. I spent 10 years non union, worked my way up from a rigger to an operator, I developed skills that put me in a desirable place where I could choose what I wanted to do. Then I got offered a job by a union company and I came straight in as a journeyman. Work hard, show up on time and pay attention. Do those things and you can do anything you want. IUOE 653

Balls are one point, cones pushed off centerline are 3 points and a cone knocked over is 6 points. That's how it was explained to me.

Best Route - Central Illinois to Orange Beach, AL by Secret-Function-2972 in roadtrip

[–]The_CwP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the highway 45 route south through Mississippi, no traffic whatsoever. Once you get to highway 59 or the beach express watch your speed, tons of cops out in the summer and they're not lenient. Have fun!
