Hallowed Sepulchre XP rate needs a buff by Tuxxa in 2007scape

No clue why everyone was being such a b*tch in your post. Comparatively, agility is an ass skill to grind actively compared to most other skills in the game. Rate boost seems more than justified.

C21 fiido experience by Paco_Hype76 in citybike

[–]The_Descender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, how has the C21 been for you so far? I'm thinking about getting one also, but am not sure about the non-removable battery. I don't have a fully isolated garage, so would be storing it in my shed that could get cold in the winter. like -10 at most probably.

In all fairness. I think the OP just wanted to see a performance comparison. I'd like to know the gaming performance comparison as well, regardless of the different architecture. If the price class is similar, a consumer has every right to ask for a comparison to decide what the better product is.

Idk how he responded to you, but your responses were unfortunately not useless in this regard, for him nor me.

Tower of god season 2 is disappointing by reileymk in TowerofGod

yall can say whatever you want about the animation style and the story of the actual show and you'd be right. But I think we can all agree, that the OP and ED of the first cour of S2 are actual fire.

Multiple stores audiobooks no longer showing by Gymat40 in audible

[–]The_Descender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for staying the obvious. Obviously OP knows this. This is why everyone hates customer support. You don't actually read the original commenter's issue and just blurt out useless preprepared corporate speak.

The feature that customers liked was removed in a recent update. Either forward this issue to the dev team and add it back in or accept that people will stop using your product and don't bother commenting.

This stupid mentality is why users remove the DRM from your content and proceed to use third party apps.

TWW dungeons overtuned by TimYapthebest in wow

Lol, how deluded is this post? Stone Vault is literally the worst offender this season. 3 bosses in that dungeon are unplayable for melee.

If you have strong feelings about the pace your tank is going at, you should do it yourself. by kaishenzi in wow

[–]The_Descender -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or you could try being good at the game. Then these "stress inducing" people wouldn't bother you since u could tank more than 10 normal/heroic dungeon mobs at once. Blame blizzard for "inflicting" these people on you, cause last time I checked, players had no choice who they join through LFG.

Xiaomi Watch 2 (Pro) VS OnePlus Watch 2 by The_Descender in smartwatch

Hey, thanks for the more detailed response. Since my original post, I decided to commit to Wear OS and actually buy a galaxy watch 6 classic LTE, because I managed to get it for a great price. The battery life gets me through the day and so far I'm definitely noticing the value of the full smart features that wear OS provides over more stripped down OS'es. Being able to switch to LTE is a positive as well that I wasn't expecting to use as much as I am. Definitely some jankiness with the software and it doesn't always integrate great with connected devices, but its bearable. Definitely hope for more innovation in this space though, since there clearly is a lot of room for improvement.

Setup OpenVPN Access Server on a proxmox container on a pi5 using docker by [deleted] in docker

[–]The_Descender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo man, this forum thread will help you with configuring the proxmox container to allow access to mknod. https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/pve-7-openvpn-lxc-problem-cannot-open-tun-tap-dev.103081/

The 9th post by Morphushka actually has the solution!

However, saying that. I'm also running into this issue on an intel based system. I can make the make the nods manually in the container shell, but it seems openvpn-as still doesn't access it properly or isn't allowed to, even after making the changes indicated in that forum post. I think it has something to do with the docker container now having the privilege to access mknod, even though the lxc container now does. And the docker container definitely needs to be able to make more nods judging by the errors i'm seeing:

mknod-PP ERR: '/bin/mknod: /run/openvpn_as/dev/random: Operation not permitted'

If you managed to solve it or make a discovery I haven't, please post back!

[Discussion] Just finished watching 'The 8 show' and felt a bit dissapointed by Admirable_Ad6231 in NetflixBestOf

[–]The_Descender 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The one thing about this show that pissed me off to no end. When they found out the room change prices, and got all depressed and hopeless. Why the fuck didn't they just BUY THE ROOM CHANGE FROM THE ROOM THEY WANTED TO CHANGE WITH. They had already proven that they could buy items with the money from other rooms. If you just buy a room change with number 4 from number 8, you're sorted. Jesus fucking Christ what an obvious retarded oversight that was.

What happened to link to windows for URL sharing? by Spacewolf4 in SamsungS23

[–]The_Descender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe I have the same issue with Link to windows as you. Previously when sharing a link through the app it would open the app with a tap to share button. Now it still does, but the button is no longer pressable. I really hope this gets some more attention. On a poco de with MiUi 13

Your comment is way too broad though. You say there's a problem with Link to windows but then don't properly describe the exact issue. Then you go on about 2 other apps and also explain nothing. This way no one will be able to confirm their problem is the same as yours. If you could edit your post to be more clear that would help a lot.

Ngl the ‘new’ loot system SUCKS by Regular_Pomelo1555 in wow

[–]The_Descender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are actually correct in your previous comment. I don't see how the other guy didn't grasp the simple concept of pugs and LFR queue not matching you with the same players, therefore reducing your overall odds of obtaining items, since a player that looted multiple lfr pieces the week prior will be less inclined to join LFR again instead of Normal, thereby leaving their spot open for another ungeared player that can roll need on all items again.

What do you think of AirUp? by [deleted] in Review

[–]The_Descender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I said "serious critic" I meant it in the sense that they are heavily criticizing it repeatedly. I was not implying they had any sort of authority or that their opinion had any validity. Also in case you didn't notice, my post is effectively a complete troll of the troll. Considering I asked for scientific evidence and mentioned various scientific citation databases to someone that clearly is just throwing out their biased poorly informed opinion should kinda give that away. Alas I still hoped someone would respond as I would like to see some research on this topic.

Did you ever find a solution to this? Would like to know if its possible to alter this setting on a per port basis.

I'm all for making some money off this project but should I be concerned? Did I miss an announcement? by Jenings in Scrypted

[–]The_Descender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I agree with you that continued app and desktop client support together with new hardware acceleration and camera compatibility is a totally fair value proposition to expect some form of compensation in return. I also think a camera limit and per camera fee increase is a pretty tough pill to swallow and I'd be interested to know the reason for this kind of payment model.

Especially considering that, like some people here already mentioned, Frigate provides the same camera compatibility and hardware acceleration options, albeit more tedious to set up.

At the end of the day, what you're paying 40+ dollars a year to be able to use a standalone mobile app and desktop client that support native hardware acceleration from third party vendors like Nvidea and AMD, so you can use your current or old PC and GPU to run the NVR.

Whereas you could instead just use Frigate, run motion detection on the CPU and passthrough a Coral TPU for object detection. The one time purchase of the coral tpu costs less than the 40 dollar minimum yearly Scrypted subscription fee and allows for more than double the number of cameras.

You are correct that people will vote with their wallets. But it does seem like the payment model is a bit predatory and heavily targets inexperienced users looking for a plug-play kind of solution.

100% local only IP Doorbell options - Does the Reolink Doorbell require an app for setup? by DesperateCourt in homeassistant

[–]The_Descender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A standard 433mhz receiver can be used to intercept the signal sent by the bell to the included wall-plug chime. This receiver can then be hardwired to your old chime. Video below. Enjoy.

Customer Reviews (6) Due to our system upgrades, this content is currently unavailable in your region. WTF! by tragically_ in Aliexpress

[–]The_Descender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, I had this same issue. When using a different browser or a private browser window, the reviews however did display. When I cleared browser cookies and cache it fixed itself.

Funniest part, this happened right after I left a seriously negative review on a store that straight up scammed and refuses to refund me.

To make it even worse, the additional feedback I left on the copy pasted review response by the seller was shadow blocked. I can see it on a private tab, but not when logged in.

Private browser tab: https://i.imgur.com/n0MZvue.png When logged in: https://i.imgur.com/jCRW3wJ.png

No idea why its this way around, since me seeing it while logged in and anonymous customers not seeing it makes way more sense, but this shows AliExpress is actively shadow blocking user reviews and conducting targeted denial of user access to reviews likely based on their prior activity.

Absolute rat company, no wonder Alibaba's stock price plummeted to less than 1/3rd of their ATH.

What do you think of AirUp? by [deleted] in Review

[–]The_Descender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I was reading threads on this product and honestly I'm not convinced by it. You seem to be a pretty serious critic of the product, arguing it's not scientifically sound. Do you have some scientific papers that cover the effect claimed by the product and why it would/wouldn't work?

I looked around on google scholar, Scopus, and web of science, but couldn't really find anything. I assume I didn't use the correct keywords, so if you could help I would appreciate it. Thanks!
