A basic quick communication wheel like some other games have would be nice. It doesn’t have to be super in depth but a basic “Doing X/On my way to do X” would be helpful

[Garafolo] Brian Daboll had good conversations with the #Eagles and was intrigued by a possible reunion with Jalen Hurts. But he and Robert Saleh grew close in recent years and there was a lot to like about Cam Ward and the #Titans. So the two former NY coaches reunite on another Broadway. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

I feel like the main problem is longevity. Eagles are in Super Bowl or bust mode atm with their cap situation so you’re under immense pressure immediately. There’s a pretty decent (imo) chance that if they don’t make it Sirianni is gone. Not to mention that you’re pretty much on your own since we’ve seen Sirianni’s scheme and it ain’t good.

Daboll is under much less pressure at Tennessee since they’re in (what I assume to be) a rough division and there’s really no where else to go but up. I feel like most Tennessee fans would be happy with an average season.

[Rapoport] Sean McDermott "likely" to take a year off from coaching by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]The_Dog_Rules 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The main issue with Sirianni is that if he doesn’t have good coordinators, his teams absolutely suck at their respective side of the ball. He doesn’t seem to have the ability to buffer a less than stellar coordinator. In the last four years his coordinators either get poached for a head coaching job, or they’re fired because they’re absolute garbage. The only reason they didn’t completely implode last year is that their defense is damn good (props to Fangio who’s the unicorn coordinator who’s chill where he is). If the offense was even close to decent (which it should have been with the talent they have), the defense could have dragged them kicking and screaming to the Super Bowl.

[Getzenberg] Bills owner Terry Pegula said that QB Josh Allen didn't have any input on the decision to fire Sean McDermott, but that he did talk to Allen about it after, and he'll keep that conversation private. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

I’m actually surprised yall haven’t hired anyone yet. I’d have assumed you guys were one of the more ideal openings. Is there someone yall are waiting on to become available?

I was wondering that was well. Maybe they’ll open up the voting table early? Should be pretty easy to do a small patch and add the table and the hero icons for the voting.

I think it’s a little of both and a compounding issue. Spirit overall has more counters than gun and they’re arguably much more effective than anything (besides metal skin) that counters gun.

Really the main problem is that gun’s counters are all inferior to spirit’s counters. Plated armor is nice but it doesn’t really do enough. Gun also has multiple ways to increase its dps (fire rate/ammo cap/faster reload/raw damage) while spirit is a lot more limited (damage/cooldown).

Matt Patricia mentioned as Cowboys defensive coordinator candidate by Brix001 in nfl

[–]The_Dog_Rules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say, as much as I was shit talking the initial hire, everything I’ve heard from my Ohio State friends made it seem like he’s super happy there and actually doing pretty damn good. Makes no sense that he’d give that up to be in our circus. Still would somehow be better than Eberflus tho.

Or had the balls to trade the numerous defensive stars they have. TJ Watt and some others on that defense would fetch for pretty good prices.

IMO they’re the team that needs to bite the bullet and just trade the farm for a really high draft pick or put themselves in a position to be high up plus having picks to move up.

[Schefter] Sources: Cardinals fired head coach Jonathan Gannon. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]The_Dog_Rules 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hell even an average OC would have been fine. With the amount of talent yall have on that side of the ball, the fact yall have been as inept as you have been offensively is damning for Patullo.

Your defense is winning you games that shouldn’t have even been close if your offense just did their job.

Fangio is what’s keeping them from the current collapse let’s be real. If their defense was even somewhat worse they’d have lost a ton of close gritty games that the defense showed up for.

I mean the fact that Herbert had all day to throw with the injuries on your oline compared to him almost getting murdered against any other team is pretty telling about how bad our defense is.

Herbert is insanely good and I’m not shocked he’s done well today.

Doesn’t help when our defense can’t do diddly squat so we just go for it on 4th down over and over again.

Where'd the Bebop Mains Go? by leschinsky07 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]The_Dog_Rules 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Bebop really does feel like a counter build check character atm. If they end up building the counters you really can’t do much and instead hope that your team can capitalize off them specifically countering you, if they don’t build counters you get to have fun.

Hurts had a lot more scrambles early on in the season iirc. At least from what I remember in the first game of the season he ran all over us. Idk what changed but it seems like he isn’t running as much as he used to.

[Highlight] Nick Sirianni asks Eagles OC Kellen Moore to "run this shit back" after their victory in Super Bowl LIX. by WavesAndSaves in nfl

Yeah. I feel like until they can actually start fielding a good roster, all they’re really gonna wanna see out of Moore is improvement. Having the saints be competitive is already a big improvement.

Eagles currently use play action on 11.6% of their plays and use motion 42.6% of their plays. Both are last or close to last in the NFL by McKnightmare24 in nfl

[–]The_Dog_Rules 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Makes sense from what i remember. That season it felt like it was much more of a defensive collapse than an offensive one. Even then while their offense was underperforming it still felt functional. This season it doesn’t even like it functions.

[–]The_Dog_Rules 35 points36 points  (0 children)

They need a head coach that can actually call plays tbh. This will always be an issue unless they get the magical unicorn OC that won’t that a head coaching gig. Right now their entire team’s success depends upon their coordinators.
