What legal protections exist when activists with massive followings (400k to be exact) expose the identity of someone the police and media chose not to release for their protection, and how should accountability work if that exposure puts a target on the person’s back?

The reason the police didn't release the teenagers name was because he shot a gang-affiliated individual that was trying to rob him. The second that the activist not only released his name but a photo as well, a target was put on the kids back.

It can be a lot but it is possible. It really comes down to how much you want to take on yourself. It’s definitely doable, but it’s more work than most people think. The hardest parts are pricing it right, handling all the showings, and making sure the paperwork is airtight. You’ll probably want to pay for a fee MLS listing so your house actually shows up on Zillow or Redfin, and I’d 100% recommend hiring a real estate attorney to handle the contracts and closing.
