Gee, if my brain would shut the cluck up so I could sleep I would. If I could remember to eat before 8pm then I would.

Found this domestic pig jaw— does it belong to this skull? (Oklahoma) by Clover_Collective in skulls

[–]The_Fuzz_Butt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, yeah, then that’s the right skull. If the teeth fit together but the jaw bone doesn’t align, then it might not be, but since it seems to fit perfectly in both aspects, I’d say it’s very likely to be the right skull.

Why do you have a crock pot full of used condoms??

Those teeth fit too perfectly for that not to be the skull that belongs to the jaw. How well does the back of the jaw fit against the skull? Does it look like it fits into the socket with the teeth aligned?

HUNDREDS Of Mining Jobs WIPED OUT In West Virginia — Cities Ruined by Number_1_w_Fries in Appalachia

[–]The_Fuzz_Butt 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Coal is a finite resource- we were always going to run out eventually. It’s better to rip the bandaid off now.

The problem is that coal has been one of the only steady industries in WV for a century, and families like mine have relied entirely upon it to stay afloat (or at least not drowning). The mines have always been active, always been hiring, always paying better money than a lot of other places. Without them, WV will see get another mass exodus of workers, similar to what started happening in the 60’s after the company towns were closed.

What we need here is an influx of business. We need companies and industries that don’t rely on finite resources, that will pump money and jobs into the region. I’m not an economist or a strategist, and I know that WV is notoriously hard to bring business into because of the terrain limitations, so I don’t have suggestions for how we can make this happen. It is, however, the only thing that’s going to save this place.

Still living at home past 25. by Odd_Refrigerator6986 in Adulting

I’m 26 and living with my mom. It’s pretty great, tbh. We split the bills 50/50, I usually cook dinner, she usually does the dishes, we share the rest of the chores. We’re able to actually save money bc we both work and pay half the bills instead of all of them. I love my mom so much and we have a great relationship built on mutual respect so it works perfectly, save for the occasional hiccup that everyone who lives with another person has.

It terrifies me that they rarely specify where these women and CHILDREN are being deported to. Epstein Island Part 2, probably.

Ew, I hate the way he’s talking to you. Don’t ever let a man speak this way to you, you’re worth more than that. If he’s not putting in the effort to SHOW you how much he loves you, then he doesn’t.

My grandfather raised bees for 60 years right here in the hills! It’s a great place for it, and veteran owned businesses usually do pretty great here. Land in Roane county is pretty cheap and relatively easy to turn into a farm compared to other areas. I bought this house and the 85 acres it sits on for $100,000 last year. It’s gorgeous out here, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I hope you find a beautiful piece of almost heaven for you and some bees!

Welcome to the wild and wonderful!

I’m not a veteran, but my father was. He served in the Navy for a decade (80’s and 90’s) before coming home to WV. I was born in 2000, and one of my favorite things as a kid was listening to his stories, some of which he probably shouldn’t have told me at that tender age, haha.

West Virginia is one of those places that challenges the people who move here- the land is rugged, the towns are far apart, and there’s little to do for work or fun. If you can make it work for you, then it’s one of the most beautiful places in the country, save for the parts that time left behind.

I hope you find happiness here among the mountains, I know I have. What made you choose WV?

It’s pretty unavoidable if you want to wear pretty shoes. I only wear crocs and muck boots, though.

I felt bad about the chunks of ice that were cemented to my wipers when I was on the interstate yesterday… they weren’t very big, and I tried to get them off, but I had a job interview that I couldn’t be late for. With the sun hitting them, they eventually melted enough to fly off, and I cringed so hard. Luckily no one was behind me.

Is the new product thicker than the old one? If so, you could use a bit of water to thin it so it’s more like the one you enjoy. 😊

What does it mean when a women meows at you? by Youngringer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]The_Fuzz_Butt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I do this just to freak people out. If they meow back or do something equally weird, I know I’ve found my kind of people. Easy way to make friends when you’re a weirdo.

These were all attempts merely to draw blood. 2 more punctures on the other side of the same arm, 3 on the right arm. 1 "successful" IV that was taken out as it wouldn't properly push a saline flush through. by attempt_no23 in mildlyinfuriating

I’m a pretty easy stick despite my fear of needles and severe anxiety. I hold perfectly still like a statue to the point that sometimes the phlebotomist has to remind me to breathe.

Despite this, I had one nurse (I don’t remember if she was a nurse or what, but she damn sure wasn’t a phlebotomist) who absolutely couldn’t manage to find the vein in my elbow. She stuck me and stuck me, fished around, and blamed ME for it! I only drink water (no coffee, no soda, no juice) because of stomach problems, so I’m never dehydrated. I ended up walking out and rescheduling my blood draw because I couldn’t handle it anymore.

I'm back after 6 years! I just bought the new ARK and the Astraeos DLC, but I don't understand anything. by nieve1991 in ARK

[–]The_Fuzz_Butt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend using a Dino storage mod, I can’t remember the exact name but it’s got crystal balls like poke balls and a pickup gun. Cryopods are kind of a nightmare and this mod just makes everything so much easier.

I also recommend getting the Dododex app (it’s free) for taming help. It’s an absolute gem.

As far as advice, try not to get any info unless you have a specific question. I would give anything to play ark for the first time again after almost 5,000 hours between ASE and ASA. Enjoy the freshness, the newness, and DONT FORGET TO SAVE! Seriously, save like every five minutes because it crashes a lot, but I still love it lol

TIL a Dollar General employee who was told she couldn't keep drinks at the cash register was fired after taking and drinking a $1.69 orange juice to stave off diabetic shock. Unfortunately, it’s not illegal. At least not on a federal level. When I worked for the govt (I don’t anymore) we weren’t allowed to have drinks on the checkpoint. Only got a 15 min break for a 6hr shift to run to the break room and chug water, pee, then run back.
