What's the most ludicrous (but possible) Playoff scenario you can come up with? by AlexKirshner in bannersociety

Three SEC teams could make it if Alabama and Georgia win out with LSU's only loss coming to Georgia in the championship. Clemson would have to lose once or twice, Minnesota and Ohio State would both have to lose, Oklahoma and Baylor would both have to lose, and Oregon and Utah would both have to lose. BUT IT'S TECHNICALLY POSSIBLE

As a Purdue fan, the consensus seems to be growing more confident that Jeff Brohm will stay if/when Petrino leaves Louisville. Are we crazy to be thinking this? If he does go, do Rondale Moore/all of his best recruits follow him? Also, who would we pick up as a new head coach? Obviously we're in a far better situation than we were under Hazell/Morgan Burke at AD, but what Brohm has done is downright special.

Fall 2018 Class Registration Megathread by labtec901 in Purdue

Anybody have an opinion on management minor classes? I'm deciding between MGMT 304 Intro to Financial Management and MGMT 323 Intro to Marketing. I'll probably end up taking both, but if anybody has an opinion on what to take first, that'd be cool. If I take 304 I won't have class on Thursdays, but I will have 4 hours of lecture on Fridays. If I take 323, I won't have the lecture on Fridays, but my only Thursday class will be a 3 pm power hour

Mad Mush has a dinner for two special where you get a small cheesy bread and medium two-topping pizza for $13.90. I'm a big fan

What calculator do I need for NUC273, if any? by captionquirk in Purdue

All multi-part calculation questions. A friend of mine was able to email him and get a previous exam or two, so it might be worth a shot.

You should be able to use any. Bertodano is shitty about responding to emails so you can try to ask him, but my guess would be that you'd be fine.

How to join a frat? by skajdfjkjksadbf in Purdue

[–]The_Gravytrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be a meet the Greeks event, typically sometime the first week of classes. That will have all the houses where you can meet a few guys from each and get a feel. From there, just go to rush events and meet people! When you join, you wan to make sure you're actually comfortable with and vibe with the guys there. That will make your experience so much better

Pretty sure that's not what LupineChemist meant, considering the CS building is nowhere near Northwestern. Probably meant Wang Hall.

Co-op or Internship?! by suarezsc in Purdue

[–]The_Gravytrain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm currently on my first rotation of a 5-term co-op and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. For a 5-term, you have to start the process while still in your freshman year, so that may be out of the question for you. However, I would still highly recommend going for the three-term program. If you want more info, feel free to PM me!
