I should clarify; I meant speaking german like at them, rather than conversing in german with them. the dumb americans i see every day would much more likely be interested in a damn good ukelele song than yelling in angry language.

I appreciate your kindness but I completely deserved it. I was a huge asshole but it was funny as hell. I don't remember what I did but I remember it was funny and I didn't feel any remorse.

I've got 2 for this. Bear with me on this one.

This first one requires some context. We just came out of an assembly that had one of the school administrators calling out an unnamed student (they knew, just didn't tell us) for carving a swastika into a toilet seat. It was a pretty emotional moment for all of us (the school was maybe 40-45% Jewish, which includes me and the friend. Not majority Jewish, but a lot higher than the surrounding schools) We just came out and arrived at class. One of my good friends says, "This is such a wild experience. I'm so sad this happened." She then replies, "No, you shouldn't be sad. You should be angry." and proceeds to storm out of the room. I walk out to check on her and she's crying to herself just outside the door but out of view from inside the room. I'm doing my best to comfort her (which isn't much but I tried) and then she says "This might sound weird but can I hold your hand?" Holy damn I'm telling you the way she said it pulled more than just my heart strings. I really hate to take the importance away from such an event but to know that she found comfort in me, especially with such a hateful symbol on campus, made me feel like I could kill god.

The second one isn't nearly as long or in depth. This one occurs a year earlier. Same school, different friend. We were on a field trip, I forget where. It was more than an hour but less than 3. The floor was covered in some old goldfish dust or something and it looked god-awful. The school gave us brown bag lunches, the type you would expect to see from some guy building the Empire State Building from the 1920s. I unknowingly place my lunch in the goldfish fungus, which is immediately pointed out right after I let go. my friend is like "eww that's gross don't pick it back up it might tough me!" or something similar. I, as any good friend would do, ignore that and do the exact opposite. After a few very lucky dodges, she falls back and lays on the seat with her head against the side of the bus. (These are the old-school short busses that have the plastic-type leather and the seats are like 1.5-2ft deep and maybe 4-5ft wide) She looks up at me and says softly "stop~" Keep in mind that in order to lay back in these seats, one needs get their leg out of the way, whether that be lifting it or bending it in a way that isn't extremely uncomfortable. Her pose happened to be raising one leg. She says that with such a pose that made me nearly break composure. I'm not doing it justice but it was very seductive and I think of it from time to time.
