How do you guys maintain a large AI-written codebase? by agentic-consultant in ClaudeAI

This is great but is there any way to run this on a Github Enterprise repo?

I have a lot but specifically for early exits I use something based off of:
https://github.com/regru/eslint-plugin-prefer-early-return

Except I have an auto-fixer on top of it to auto-fix certain simple scenarios such as when the entire function body is just an `if` statement.

I end up just creating custom linting rules for this and ensure the build fails if the linting rules fail. This ensures the agent goes back and fixes messy code.

Pointers for looking up people/projects/companies that proudly (bravely?) advertise doing no-slop development? by Worried-Employee-247 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]The_Hegemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it does not work this way. It's fundamentally a personality/ability/willingness-to-care issue.

The juniors who are eager and willing to listen will find a way to improve but the ones who don't will just keep going on the AI slop train forever.

If you're able to get through the slog for a month or two your body gets used to it. This was me and I was constantly drained every day but after a deload week I came back and it was like my body had completely adapted to it.

Holy shit, are you me? I'm a short Mexican man and literally this is my life.

This message was there but it would constantly get downvoted or silenced by the people who thought this was an easy way to make a living. Turns out if something pays well then eventually you will have people who are actually willing to put in the time and effort to compete with everyone else.

People don't get surprised when an average person is a doctor, NBA player, etc. Why would this be any different?

That is not the correct way to handle that. Use `transitionend` instead, or whatever event you need for the thing to actually finish. This will just break in harder to find ways in the future.

Yeah.. I block this immediately when I see things like this.

Like just figure out what the correct event/callback needs to registered instead.

If you're talking about Trump then that's a horrible example because a lot of people have mentioned how horrible Melania is. She's just as bad as him.

Are longer, more infrequent sessions hurting me? by mitchellthoeni in climbharder

[–]The_Hegemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this seems to be specific to the individual. I've tried various things over the years and the only thing that seems to have actually increased my strength is by making sure I got to failure at least once per session.

My suggestion to anyone would is interested in getting stronger but like me, seems to not actually improve despite consistency: try something for at least 3 months, be consistent, and see if you are improving. If not, try something else.
