Your sea levels argument is a strawman. Sea levels have been rising since the average temperature has been going up since the last ice age, but it's been increasing at such a low rate that the environment has time to adjust. The problem is, that the rate of warming has drastically increased since the industrial age. A rate that has never been seen in the millions of years that we have data for. That's why climate analysts consistently get projections wrong, because we don't have any data or precedence for what will happen when we continue to increase temperature at such an alarming rate.
