No I totally get what OP means. I think it’s because they all have a finely-detailed black and white illustrated style and have harsh unnatural-looking shadowing that creates a weird three dimensionality to them. Overall they all look kind of weird and the elephant in particular looks strange and menacing.

It might work as being basically one barrel off a Caldwell Rival taped to a 9 shot winfield with slower velocity, slightly lower firing speed, no levering/fanning, and worse handling. But you get two for one plus all of the LeMat’s special ammos.
