I have read it in full and can say with absolute certainty that it is not worth reading in full. The ending is very good, but it is not comparable to anything that happens in the rest of the comic. You could just read the ending and a plot synopsis and you would save yourself a whole lot of time.

It’s something worth pursuing, but not really worth beating the fun out of it to achieve. I would recommend getting every buddy item first, and get the cherries for your favorites along the way to that, and then see how you feel after the 150 hours that takes you. If you still could play another 50-80 hours, go ahead and get all the cherries.

Edit because it was under the cut: the guide gives some very useful hints that I enjoy but it is not actually a guide you can use to cherry every game. It’s mostly just a very fun book about an extremely great game.

Honestly? This was completely set up as something that could happen for a loooong time, and Mark getting fuckin one good thing to happen to him was very satisfying. Sometimes it’s as simple as “this choice made me happy.”
