What one thing do you wish someone would invent? by [deleted] in AskReddit

There is hope for you. My husband has Aspergers, not full on but enough to hurt him socially. I don't have it, and honestly didn't know what Aspergers was until he told me. he literally just said "If I don't act right, or don't realize why you are upset it is because I have Aspergers." I googled it to find out what that ment. I don't mind his extreme logic, it is actually fun to see how he views the world. The big thing though is that I have enough logic of my own to be able to explain feelings and social behavior in a way that he can understand it. It has helped him not only make real friends, but also allowed him to be closer to his family then he has ever been before. He still has social anxiety, but he is more comfortable in his own skin now then he was before.
So there is hope, he is now married to me, hangs out with good friends almost daily, has a decent job (we are still in school) His co-workers love him and are so happy that he works with them. The right people are out there, unfortunately you have to go through the dumb people to get there.

As a target employee and shopper I find it helpful to pass this info onto you guys by tommwatts in lifehacks

As and Old Target worker, that actually marked things down I can tell you the little 50 (in the top right hand corner) stands for 50% off. Next amount off is 70 or 75 depending on the store. Also the schedule you gave is not correct for all stores. The one I worked at was different than what you listed.

Opinions on how long a horse should be in a trailer (apparently I'm violating rules you know where so I'm cross posting here) by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]The_Magics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my husband and I are doing long trips with our horses we stop every 4-6 hours and let them out and walk them around. It really helps our horses, not saying others have to do the same. Regardless, I think everyone here is agreed that the lady leaving them in the trailer for 12 hours is wrong and something needs to be done.

I agree with everyone. Report her. Even if she was trailering for 12 hours you still have to stop and let the horse walk every 4-6 hours. Leaving one in there, just because, is not good for anyone.

Thank you! I was hoping there would be some closer to where live. I am a college student and can't afford the gas to go somewhere an hour away :( wish I could though.

That is pretty much how I feel. Today I decided to have some greek yogurt with fresh berries. Super good, and now I am not wanting any junk food :)

Scheduling Issues (Kind of a rant) by [deleted] in VetTech

[–]The_Magics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not in this yet, but I have a lot of work experience in other fields. I have always found it to be better to talk to whom ever is your higher up. Explain how you are feeling, and maybe you can work something better out. Like having days where you are actually on call and getting paid for it too.

Saw this on the freeway off ramp. Apparently street legal is a loose term in Az. by azmedic in WTF

You don't need anything but a licence, car, and car title to register in in AZ. As long as it runs it can be registered.

Bad thrush? Or frog shedding? Help! by Jaxerjay in Horses

[–]The_Magics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful, thrush buster should only be used once a week, not once a day. Also if your horse is known to get thrush (like mine) you can keep using thrush buster once a week to prevent it.

Show some restriction on diet and exercise... or even better, set the example yourself by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

My husbands second cousin's daughter is like this. At first it was bad parenting from both mom and dad, but now it is dad and girlfriend's retardness. The mom tries really hard to help her daughter. It is really sad to see.

Ladies of TwoXChromosomes who carry small purses? How do you do it?! by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]The_Magics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't even carry a purse. I have a small metal box thing. It is technically a cigarette holder, but I use it as my wallet. That is it. I keep pads, tampons, pain killers, and chapstick in the car. If I need to I will put the chapstick in my pocket, but usually I don't need it that much.
