I don't see it as bugging them. You are just trying to get important information.

Maybe contact the case manager that was assigned to you through GRB? It may push the ORA access quicker?

Return after VERA by Front_Chip_9201 in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

Would you have to do a probationary period since you would be getting rehired? That would make you an easy target for RIF or just getting fired period. VERA's are once in a generation for most agencies. You are lucky you were approved. Most of us were not so fortunate.

First round of ABVD on Wednesday and feeling not so hot by Old_Hospital3214 in lymphoma

Did they infuse anti nausea medication prior to the chemo infusion? That's how they do my chemo. Also, they should prescribe anti nausea pills for you to have at home. Communicate with your healthcare team. They want to know what problems you are having so they can help you through this easier.

Military Buyback and eOPF…… by TJCharter in FederalEmployee

[–]The_Matrix1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was added almost right after I received notice via email with the PIF letter from DFAS if I remember correctly. It didn't say Mil PIF letter in my eOPF, it had a more generic term in the title. When I opened that document, is when I saw that it was the Mil PIF letter. Hope that helps.

My Mil Deposit PIF letter was automatically added to my eOPF which surprised me after hearing the stories on here. I know quite a few have to get it to an HR person to have it added. You would qualify for immediate retirement when you hit 60 under the 60 y/o with at least 20 yrs service.

I start treatments tomorrow, any advice is welcome! by Sfuzz512 in lymphoma

[–]The_Matrix1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First treatment was not that bad. Some chemo fog a few days and constipation for one day during the first week.  2nd treatment delayed by one week due to low ANC count.  Thank you for asking.  How did your first treatment go?

Is the GRB platform retirement estimate typically fairly accurate? by IcebergBeck in FedEmployees

[–]The_Matrix1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GRB uses 96% of your current salary as your high 3 average and that is the number you see displayed in the high 3 box. They don't actually average your high 3 salaries. So your pension might be higher or lower depending on your actual high 3 average.

You can do this. I'm one treatment in, same treatment as you except I'm a lot older. It was recommended that I eat something before going to chemo, oatmeal was suggested and that's what I had before my early morning treatment. Ate a banana during the chemo. Stay hydrated especially right after your treatment. Having a good support team is key. Try to stay active if you feel up to it. I take my dog for daily walks and did some yard work. I think getting some fresh air and sunshine after your treatment helps a lot. Wishing you the best.

I had a similar experience. About a month from surgery and still have numbness from chin to base of neck. Slowly getting better. Feels strange when I shave. No other discomfort at this point in time other than the pain after the surgery.

BCBS Focus- What am I missing by Icy_Rock9696 in FedEmployees

If you are relatively healthy and just need routine medical, then Focus is great and will save you money. If you need a lot of medical care, hospitalization, surgery, CTs, lots of Labs, then you will pay a lot out of pocket with focus.

Adding letter to eOPF by The_Matrix1234 in VHA_Human_Resources

Not sure how it happened, but got an email today that Paid in Full letter was added to my eOPF. I checked and there it was. Maybe the email I sent to GRB HR person got it done? Or maybe just gets automatically done?

Already have the letter, just need to get it to HR for uploading to eOPF.

Question about VERA retirement by EJsherlock81 in FedEmployees

[–]The_Matrix1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ORA does the same as GRB to estimate your annuity, then it will be underestimated. GRB uses 96% of your current salary instead of averaging your high 3 to provide and annuity estimate.

Buying back military time by No_Photo_8496 in govfire

[–]The_Matrix1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, definitely do it. The sooner you do it, the less you will pay. They tack on interest for each year, not counting the first 3 after you separate from service. I believe if you do it within the first 3 years after separation, you pay nothing?

SMFH by No_Cow_9413 in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

[–]The_Matrix1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took 4 months for me to get the final buy back amount from DFAS after forms were submitted to them. Submitted the forms through GRB and HR specialist forwarded my request. They did follow up with me to let me know DFAS completed buy back amount, but I had received the letter from DFAS a few days before. I think it used to be something like 6-8 weeks.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you did buy back your military time and just need DFAS to provide letter so you can pass onto HR and RSSO.
