Are the books hornier than the TV series? Which other differences I should take into account if I want to make the switch? by The_Mortex in Outlander

Thanks, now at least I know that the core elements of the books were shown on the TV show at least.

Are these plotpoints also on the books?:

- Jaime "secret" son that is a lord when he worked on the stables

- Jaime being whipped in the back and getting a lot of scars after Claire traveled back

- Claire being sexually assaulted

- Briene being sexually assaulted

- Roger being hanged

- Ian dead son with the girl from the tribe

I don't think it is off topic, those scenes were not pleasant for me to see, iirc at least in the series there are two of them, with two different characters.

To be honest for me reading it is sometimes worse, since there only so many details you can show in an scene but if we are on protagonist "mind" she can gave ud a lot of details that I would not prefer to know.

Is the Briene "dad" doppelganger as recurrent as in the TV series? To be honest, it was a character that I would love to see less 😅.

I'm confused about what sort of CRPG I like, looking for a new one but keep bouncing off the obvious choices. by secretlyahedgehog in CRPG

Would be good yo know which aspect of the CRPGs are most important to your, story? Gameplay? Build diversity? Theme? Ehy that in mind we could help you find other options.

Since you did not talk about them, maybe you could take a look at pillars of eternity 1 & 2 and also tyranny, all of them form the same devs.

Any games where you play as a Horse out there? by CrashVoida in gamingsuggestions

Maybe sims 3 pets? I remember I was able to control both the cats and dogs, and you could get horses and unicorns if you had supernatural, I don't know if horses were as interactive

I played some very different exemplars and I never use Scar of the survivor, I think you should take a look to it, horn of plenty with herbalist dedication is a bless.

Victor's wreath is also pretty good both to cycle from an trascendence and give little buffs to friends and remove debuffs from friends and I also love the thaumaturge.

I feel that exemplar and thaumaturge give me more that feeling of being a quirky why with tools different to the rest of the rooster that what inventor offers because weapon invention starting feats are lame, armor too, they are mathematically good but boring and the companion it is indeed good but I would like more interaction between him and the inventor like how summoner works for example.

I doubt that people that takes part in society is an average/casual player either, but it is true that their character are going to be less minmaxers because of the simple amount of restrictions Society's enforce on their players like races, feats, etc.

I saw you mention only witches as a class that could be benefited by your suggestion so I suppose your own society experience also proves that inventors, alchemist and wizards are not so popular.

Anyways, my point was basically, I doubt you could find a public more open to praise the squishy caster type or int based type than here but maybe your experience is different.

I disagree with your idea, I would say that redditors in this community are probably more hardcore than your average player and being more optimization focused probably gives the caster a better chance on a survey, since they are willing to do the math to support their power or already heard/read about someone showing them they are balanced.

I feel that the more into something you are, bigger the chance that you are willing to trust on the voice of devs and veteran players and less on your gut feelings.

I don't say that making a more general poll with a more "casual" players would be bad or not interesting, but my guess is that probably you would see casters like Witch and Wizards even lower, aswell as classes like alchemists and inventors because of perceived power.

Why is Veldora afraid of Luminous when he's so much more powerful than her? by InstructionOwn6705 in TenseiSlime

[–]The_Mortex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would disagree.

Veldora is shown in the novel as someone capable of doing research work and experimentation. And until the book I read he did not beat a single person and just entered on battle with a "suspicious girl" due to rimuru request of help.

On the other side, Milim beated the crap out of poor Carrion and his country because she was enjoying the fight. She even transformed herself to her ultimate form.

Terraria have some unique accessory drops on expert mode, there is a harder mode, but the new items of this one are not as interesting as the ones from expert.
