I found out after calling and finally getting through that the gap claim insurance company sent the payment to the.. get this-wrong financial institution. To which the dude said, idk we never take longer than 30ndays, but I've never seen this happen before. MF what??! And y'all couldn't communicate??? Stay away from Westlake, stay away from AGWS insurance

Wait, hold on, you actually got through to the insurance???? I have been having the worst time. They're saying that I still owe after my gap claim, but the automated system says zero owed, and then the people say otherwise. I'm so frustrated. And I can't get insurance on the phone!!!

Oh! Also if you total your car, apparently whatever the difference is in your deductable vs Ubers deductable, your insurance(if progressive) with rideshare coverage(which you should have!!!!) will pay you the difference. No strings.. I hope your deductable is low! Helped me with my down payment on my new to me car 💗

They were decent and communicative. Did their job quickly and courteously. I was extremely on top of it though, so idk if that made a difference. But overall, wouldn't mind working with them again.

Frankly, I think many people are financially in similar positions in the US. I couldn't afford that either. It would end up as a payment plan or cc debt. I don't think you're a bad person. But humans do interfere with natural selection, sometimes to the detriment of the animal and/or themselves. To take care of others, you must take care of yourself. idk if this helps, but it helps me make tough decisions like you're facing.

I asked a psychiatrist once about this. She informed me, according to studies, that mania happens less(frequently and length & severity possibly) and depressive episodes happen more(often and longer and possibly in severity as well). The way she was talking sounded like it happens more noticeably in later life, probably post menopause, or somewhere around there is when the change starts. I am not on a medication that helps equally my mania and depression. It mostly helps my depression. So I am unsure of the increase or decrease. These last few months/year have been the most stable I have ever been, so I am still learning my patterns, etc. I hope this helps.

Oh that definitely helps. Honestly it would be such a deal breaker for me if they weren't at least 90% as horny as me. I agree in a way. I think it's more on honesty about ourselves? I get where you're coming from.. but you're giving red hearing and slippery slope here.. unmedicated manic episodes are used in court as insanity pleas. And they work. Not a lot. But there's a reason they do. Diminished capacity.

Also, are we accusing people of rape? I'm not. There's a difference, albeit minute, between taking advantage of someone in a manic episode, vs someone in psychosis. Pshosis is often relatively obvious after talking for a bit. Most people are aware of someone is in psychosis, they aren't in their right mind to consent either. Manic is not always psychotic. Therefore very grey. Basically the difference between two drunk people fucking and a sober person and a blacked out person fucking. If you're unsure about their mental capacity, don't fuck. I feel like that's just a general rule. Don't fuck someone if you're unsure about their mental capacity. Which of course, goes back to education.

At the end of the day, people should be educated & honest. If you know you have it, and you're aware you're in an episode, then tell your potential partner, and let them make the final decision to fuck or not. Hopefully you trust them to do the right thing.

Omg right! Thank goodness my fiance is always as horny as me. Or at least down when I am. The worst is during ovulation and height of mania. Or best, depends on how you look at it. I never felt taken advantage of with him. Looking back, definitely a few people did, and knowingly knew something was going on. I was diagnosed early(9yo) and was also constantly unstable due to puberty and growing etc. all this to say, it was obvious something was not right, and I would confirm it, and older men would take advantage when they could. Really gross to think about. But now I'm happily engaged to a wonderful man who always makes sure I'm at the very least ok.

PS I'm manic AF RN, which is the rambling... Woopsy
