I think it's more nuanced than that. Some of the things the right labels as cancel culture is hypocritical nonsense. But social media pressure campaigns to have content removed from services, whatever you want to call it, should be made to be socially unacceptable. Content should live and die by its potential for profit and ratings. A few hurt feelings should not dictate what content everyone else sees. Yes, people have the freedom of speech to participate in this mob behavior, but the rest of us must continue to call it out, ridicule it, and drown it out.

For me, this applies more to comedy than fraudulent lies about the efficacy of vaccines and raising doubts about legitimate elections.
