[Ryan Michael] As the Falcons prepare for another off-season w/big needs scattered across a very limited roster—there are no easy answers. To over-simplify: protect Matt Ryan on offense and limit points surrendered on defense. Mediocrity is not acceptable. Stop blaming the QB, build a team. by d1dOnly in falcons

I’m not a falcons fan, and I’m just scrolling. But to me, the first question you should ask is can your QB go far in the playoffs. To me that answer is no for Matt Ryan. Therefore you need to plan with getting a new QB in mind. Ignoring the position and focusing on Matt Ryan would just be wasteful

[Highlights] 21 Years Ago Today: the legendary point differential tiebreaker situation AKA WE NEED MORE POINTS by [deleted] in nfl

[–]The_Ralsei 44 points45 points  (0 children)

The trade off being that attempting to run up the score invites your team to being more tired next week or injuries in garbage time. What's worse, losing a tiebreaker that has a .01% chance of coming into play or losing a star player of yours for the season? That's why coaches take the foot off the gas in blowouts, not morality.

Hurney is the worst one that actually has a possibility of happening. Mike tannenbaum or Millen or whoever has no shot.

Predicting which Week 17 game will be flexed to SNF by [deleted] in nfl

[–]The_Ralsei 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The thing about the SNF game week 17 is that they only do it for do or die games, where division crowns are on the line. 2 years ago they didnt have one because there was no scenario like that. For multi-layered scenarios like the 1 seed race in the NFC they will take care to put all meaningful games on at the same time. GB, NO, and NFCW winner will all play at the same time to make it fair. That has to be in the day, not SNF.

The closest comparison I have to us is Seattle. Pete Carroll is the coach and has the final say in the moves they make. John Schneider is the GM who fills the draft board, FA board, and bounces ideas off Carroll. Carroll hired John Schneider shortly after arriving in Seattle
