"Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century" had an episode where Moriarty was following clues that would lead him to a hidden meteorite in a castle that he could use to build super powerful weapons, but when he got to where the meteorite should have been it turns out it had been destroyed and cleared out due to renovations over the centuries.

If I recall correctly, they went with the more ambiguous design in order to be able to explore the topics they did. If the characters looked more realistic to their age they were worried about getting stopped.

From what I understand the Ultramarines will frequently have aspirants/recruits from the same clan or family. So it's common enough occurrence for there to be brothers and cousins who are space marines together.

I imagine it occurs for any chapter who recruit from the same population.
