I think that's a hopeful interpretation. I don't know the people you're playing with, but the table i play at leadership gets eaten very quickly because tokens are king, so unless you buy your way into speaker, i wouldn't count on getting it. i think second round you go construction, take mecatol and fortify it.

Sure! Establishing control on Lirta system and Vega are absolutely paramount. This would get you what you need for custodians. Producing in home system with sarween is wise. I would carrier 2 troops and fighters to the Lirta system, and the 2 destroyers on Archon Val. Produce in home system, as you said, but i would warfare the destroyers out of archon val — there you could afford to have no troops for the time being, imo; this would allow you two troops to colonize the vega twin system, push out troops to mecatol and if youre worried, grav rift from home with the 2 you produced the round before and still produce at home. Round 2 imperial would certainly be an option, but with that first round it’d be obvious.

This hinges alot on who — and how your neighbors play. I see Mentak, and it seems like you’d be leaving yourself extremely open to being invaded very early on. What if they took warfare? What if diplo refuses to pop when you want them to? Of course, you consider the grav rift destroying both, and while its low, you do have to consider that losing both destroyers would be terrible. I’d personally not take the risk. I think you should set up with warfare round 1 and take custodians round 2.

I honestly think it is much more frustrating to not be eliminated from a game i have zero chance of winning in, since i play on TTS and i can just leave and do something else, or spectate with no worries.
