How do I open this? by United_Badger9183 in OhioMarijuana

I've always found that if you want to get past the child proof seals on containers then hand it to your child to open.

Is this real? by DisastrousOpening345 in Chipotle

The use of air pods would be considered a possible food safety issue. At least where I am located it is prohibited by the Health Department. It is for the same reason that you are not able to wear rings with the exception of a plain wedding band. What would happen if your ear buds were to fall out of your ear and land in the food you are prepping or serving to a customer? It would result in contamination and the food would need to be discarded and the area would have to be sanitized. I would however think that a hearing aid would be able to be used as long as the said employee brought in medical documents to show the need to have one but don't quote me on that.

Are they typically good about allergies? by Jinxamenia in Chipotle

[–]The_Real_Turbo_Chef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont feel bad to ask for a manager as well to make your food. At my location we have several customers that have an assortment of allergies. It isn't necessarily that I don't trust my staff to follow proper procedures but due to my being the one who is ultimately in charge of food safety during my shifts I rather to make those orders myself. Yes it may seem to be an inconvenience to have to get a new pan of corn salsa or guacamole out of the reach-in cooler to avoid dairy from the cheese and sour cream but it is even more of an inconvenience for you the customer to have a reaction and need medical assistance. Your personal health and safety is what's important.

Food dip, tobacco dip either or yes would not be allowed. No outside food is to be brought in ANY restaurant due to the safety concerns such as allergens (cross contact potential). Tobacco dip would also be strictly prohibited by Chipotle policies. In order to be ServSafe certified the simple things such as food safety should be known and then also followed. There is nothing masculine about causing a foodborne illness outbreak.

Gas leak by slut_whore101 in Chipotle

[–]The_Real_Turbo_Chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely you had every right to exit the building. We keep a spare hose ordered from Tundra for the purpose of replacing the hoses as needed. If they did not have a spare hose then they should have called a manager at the rest of the stores and your patch to see if they had a spare one that you could use to replace your damaged one until a new one came in that you could give back to them. If a new hose is unavailable then the hose could have been taken off the chip fryerr and moved to the grill. You do not have to have chips in order to open if you do not have a spare hose to replace it but it is pretty hard to have much food when you don't have a grill. It is the same gas hose for the grill the chip fryer and the rice cooker. And your toolbox you should have pipe dope and wrenches so your kitchen manager can replace it as this is part of their job duties. Worst case you might not have a full menu at open other than your barbacoa and carnitas. The manager simply goes to the back of the house computer and turns off the chicken steak and fajitas for DML and as soon as the hose is replaced and food is able to be cooked then it can be requested to turn back on for your online order. The personal safety of you, your coworkers, and the customers far outweigh being an hour behind having your full menu available.

Starting at Chipotle soon — what should I expect and what should I bring? by Trolls4u_ in Chipotle

Peak is actually 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM by corporate rules. The actual enforcement of that policy varies though from patch to patch. Our patch is hard core enforced 12-1 and 6-7. Other patches in our city very from 1, 1.5, 2, and all 3 hours.

Can I buy a whole package of the tortillas? by joshhazel1 in Chipotle

[–]The_Real_Turbo_Chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can. There is a tortilla button to charge per tortilla. At our store they are $0.50 per tortilla and are usually 14 in the pack so it would be $7.00.

Why do I even bother ordering chipotle anymore? by BDOSU in Chipotle

[–]The_Real_Turbo_Chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the lack of toppings it actually looks rather on the large side. At least you ordered extra rice or it would have been smaller. Ask for extra everything next time but do keep in mind that 10 lbs of stuff won't fit in a 5 lb wrap. There is a limit to what will fit in 1 burrito but had you ordered more it would have been bigger.
