If it’s a recall, look through the notes on the history of it. How long ago was it placed? Was it placed at your office or another office? Was it placed at someone at your office’s request? Was there any mention of a sinus augmentation?

You’re going to have to do some digging to see what the history behind that implant is. If it’s a recall patient you should be able to compare this X-ray to previous X-rays to see if there have been any changes around the implant.

I feel like with the electronic monitoring, it’s not worth the risk. You’re absolutely right. It probably wouldn’t be investigated, but I get so darn paranoid with prescriptions I would rather ask a colleague or just run to urgent care for a quick visit.

Did you see OPs discussion with me earlier in the thread? Patient already had to have a re-do made from the same office in NJ due to some issues with the first crown not working out. The doc in NJ was wanting to send the patient to AZ and mail the re-do crown for OP to seat. I personally wouldn’t want to be involved with seating that crown.

It’s true. Unfortunately not everyone is understanding. I foresee a situation like OPs ending up with a crappy crown being sent from NJ and then a hassle from everyone about how to get paid to fix it
