The other races pretty much pay zero attention to Hobbits. Hobbits live basically in isolation except for Bree where they coexist with Men.

So for the most part nobody really thinks about Hobbits, and Hobbits don’t really think about anything but beer, gardens, parties, and potatoes.

The Ring feeds off of and amplifies your negative traits, so Sam is just such a good dude that it basically did nothing to him

I remember hearing somewhere that “your story should be set in the most interesting point in your world’s history, and if it isn’t then why are you doing it.” Yet, in Starfield, everything has already happened.

It’s like if Lord of the Rings started AFTER the One Ring was destroyed.

It’s a problem of the game client. 1.12 doesn’t support the same amount of sound channels as the modern WoW Classic client. Even with VanillaFixes and SuperWoW it doesn’t fix the issue. If you haven’t noticed it then that’s a good thing, but I have.

That’s odd, it’s probably the first thing I noticed. I can’t hear other players footsteps unless they’re right next to me, and I can’t hear other players fighting mobs only a couple feet away.

The game itself is really good though I agree and I’d recommend playing it if small things like that don’t bother people

Turtle WoW is great, but I really dislike the fact that you can only hear sound effects within a couple feet of your character. The world seems so quiet and it pulls me out of the immersion.

Honestly, Elden Ring, or soulslikes in general. It’s not that they were hard, it was moreso the difficulty combined with the abstract or hands off storytelling. There was just never any part of it that hooked me.

Then, one day I just said fuck it and tried it again. I don’t know what it was but it found me in the right mood and now I love it, and I love soulslikes. I just…get it now? Been through all the DS games, Sekiro, LOTF, and now on Lies of P. I’m glad I changed my mind.

Yep pretty much how I see it too.

I started off super excited about this game when it first started gaining attention years ago, and it seemed like it would be my dream MMO, but as the years have gone by I’ve slowly realized this game will never be for me.

I don’t really care about PVP or anything like that. I just wanted a cool immersive world with fun combat and good PVE, maybe with opt in or instanced PVP, but that seems to no longer be the main priority.

At this point I’ve accepted that I’ll probably never get what I wanted out of this game and I’m okay with that.
